We waited in line as the place was busy. Placed our order for one Okonomiyaki and a beef teriyaki which the menu said was recommended. Within minutes the teriyaki arrived which was 8 small pieces of beef with a sauce and placed on our hot grill, it was already cooked and they suggested we start eating it and that was the teriyaki, no vegetables or anything else with it. We have never had an $17.00 teriyaki like that. We tried to get a waiter’s attention but they were busy and we had ordered the okonomiyaki and thought we would be cooking this at our table but someone came and dropped a small pork shrimp and squid okonomiyaki on our grill and a container of mayonnaise and that was our dinner. Getting someone’s attention was impossible so when we left we mentioned that we were disappointed with the lack of cooking on our grill and lack of service. We understood that they were busy but it came down to the fact that we were not Asian and they assumed we didn’t know what to do. We think that it was so busy things got overlooked and what we did taste was good but the whole experience left a bad taste in our mouths. We cannot recommend this place and I have to say I rarely write bad reviews because everyone can have a bad night but this was...
Read moreMy meal started off with an egg potato salad that surprisingly reminded me of a beef croquette with a soft boiled egg on top. We tried both the seafood and pork okonomiyaki. The seafood version was generous, packed with whole pieces including scallops and crab legs, and topped with plenty of bonito flakes and a bold sauce. It took 27 minutes to arrive but was worth the wait. The pork variation arrived a bit later and, while tasty with sauce, was underwhelming without it. The pork was mostly just on top, making the flavor feel a little sparse inside. Ordering was done via a QR code with a menu that had multiple languages available, and the staff were friendly and spoke English a plus for foreigners, however communication with the staff was limited beyond talking to them at the beginning of our meal when we were seated and at the end when we wanted to paid. While prices were reasonable (¥4609 for 3 people), we were seated in a quiet corner next to the dishwasher, which made the atmosphere feel a bit less relaxed. Overall, the food delivered on taste especially with the toppings and is fairly priced for the portion size. A good spot for a casual bite, as long as you're not in a rush and don’t mind a bit of kitchen chatter in...
Read morePlace looks good and have a Japanese hot stove concept which looks so cool. I was glad they had vegetarian options too, we tried the rice noodle combo with mushroom and Potato and cheese okonomiyaki.. the taste was good. Towards the end of the meal, me and my husband noticed hair in the okonomiyaki which was really disgusting. I see they perform the cooking on the table on the hot stove however the guy who does it doesnt wear a cap to cover his hair and has really long hair that keeps coming on his eyes, chances are that the hair might have fallen from him. The place has 110 Yen per person service charge which is written minutely on the menu, which is fine, but when there are service charge, tips and cover fee involved, basic hygiene cannot be compromised in a country like Japan which is ahead of the world already :) please ensure your staff wears chefs hat or cap while cooking to avoid tourists having a disgusting and disappointing experience. The service was slow and honestly I didnt mind it a bit but the hair incident changed my...
