Unfortunately a very bad service experience. We travelled with a group and as a couple preferred the doublebed bedroom compared to the two single bed layout. What wasn't mentioned by the staff on checkin was, that the doublebed room is tiny and only configured for one (as you can tell by the one usb socket compared to two usb in the two bed room). But minimal space is normal in Japan, so acceptable. However, the biggest problem was the bathroom fan, which cannot be turned off completely and is quite loud even at the slow speed. To make things worse, you can hear it very clearly in the smaller doublebed room, as your head is next to the bathroom. Normal procedure in a good hotel would be to complain and get a quiet room. In this case, however, things went differently. First I had to show the noise problem to the staff. Then they showed me two different rooms - a small one with the same layout and the same loud bathroom fan. And another one with two beds - same fan but greater distance to the ear and therefore acceptable noise level. But they wouldn't give us this different room for free, as it was considered an "upgrade" by the staff. Also the staff was not able to decide by themselves to give a free "upgrade" so they would have to wait for the next day to talk to their boss. During normal checkin times, there should always be someone available to make decisions like that. In the end we paid 14.000 Yen extra to get the better room for 4 nights. The staff told me that they would talk about our problem with their boss the next day. Unfortunately, we never heard from them again, although we were there the four following days. Apart from that the breakfast has to be choosen from a menu with 4 options. Unfortunately the menu didn't change during the 4 days and the quality of the food could have been better. In the end I wouldn't really recommend this hotel. If so, you should make sure to book one of the rooms with two beds to avoid the...

We stayed here for 3 nights & it was one of our best choices ever! We stayed in the Sky View Room, located at the 13th floor. It was pretty spacious as we opted for the Twin Room, so you can open up your luggages rather easily. Comfort wise - beds were pretty comfy in our opinion! The pillow has both a soft & hard side. Toilet wise - clean and pretty spacious. We wowed when we first saw it. Bathtub was nice & shower head flow was good. Plenty of essentials provided. Towels were refreshed daily.Location wise - it's rather nicely located at Asakusa & with a fantastic view of Tokyo Skytree & Senso-Ji temple right from our window. The only downside about the location was that it was quite a walk from the train stations, hence you might often get lost around the neighbourhood as there are many different stations, streets and turns. So if possible, do use Luggage Forwarding service if you can as there are many staircases at the train station. The only main irk for us during the stay was that there were only 3 washer+dryers in the laundry room, so we did have to wait for a pretty long time to do our laundry as most cycles were at least 2hrs long - so if you didn't manage to snag one, you might have to wait for a long time or worst - wake up at an odd hour to do your laundry to avoid the crowd. But other than that, we did enjoy our stay at The Kanzashi! Will definitely consider staying here again when the price...

We stayed here only one night, due to a change of travel plans that led me to need to book something in Tokyo last minute.

I don’t think I would recommend staying here for a long stay, mostly because it is pretty inconvenient for reaching the rest of Tokyo due to its distance from any major metro station. The walk from the Tsukuba Express station is not too long, but that line doesn’t take you many places. Usually you will need to take the Asakusa line but it’s a long walk to that station (15 min or more) through a very crowded/touristy area.

Also the hotel is very close to a small amusement park, so if you have your window open you will hear kids screaming on roller coasters.

However, if you want to visit the Asakusa area, especially the temple, this hotel is great for that. You can easily visit the temple in the early morning or at night, when it is much less crowded. Also you can walk to the Sumida river easily and enjoy the park there.

It was also easy to take the bus from there to reach some neighborhoods, such as Nippori Fabric Town and Ueno Station.

As for the hotel itself, it’s perfectly fine but nothing special. The room is basic and the staff we interacted with was just ok. I did like the shower/bath in particular though, and also the rooftop deck has a beautiful view. And most importantly,...
