Excellence Eco-Tours Services Sdn Bhd (Gaya Street) — Attraction in Borneo

Very disappointed with the service received by this company. Staff in the office are kind and helpful and I booked the Kawa Kawa Proboscis Monkey and Fireflies Tour based on information I received. I was given an itinerary that indicated 1hr 30 on the river looking for proboscis monkeys. This seemed like good value for a tour that is a 2hr drive from the city (and 9hrs in total). The river cruise, however, was a rushed 30 mins. Dinner was also rushed as the priority seemed to be to head to the beach to wait over an hour for sunset. This was not what I paid for and in fact was a waste of my time, as I can do this in KK for free. Other elements of the tour were unsatisfactory, such as my pick up not being where I specified, the tour guide saying to me he was surprised I was not Chinese as this tour is commonly for Chinese tourists, not English speaking ones. The agent did not tell me the guide would be conducting the tour in Chinese. And despite all this and the agent agreeing I had received poor service, there was no offer of any compensation. Overall, the tour was an excellent experience. Starting from the office, where Jennifer was very helpful and recommended us good local places to eat at.
