The mall that is located in the middle of Georgetown, link to Komtar and prangin mall via overhead bridges. Consider to be a modern updated shopping mall owned by Ideal Property Group. The mall offer a variety of brands and shop with Village Grocer as the anchor tenant located at the basement. Previously Parkson was the anchor tenant taking up multiple floors before it close down. The large mall has plenty of potential for future growth. There is a number of international brands from Brands Outlet, Crocodile Boutique, Energized, H&M, Levis, Giordano and more. Also there is Anta Sportswear and Kappa. The mall is oriented around food tenant with most of them focuses on local cusiness especially on Old Town coffee, Sushi King, Subway, The chicken rice shop and more. There is a theater by TGV located above the mall. The mall also offer plenty of events during the weekends. There is a minimal luxury presence here, meaning the target market is more towards tourist market. There is no large sit down Chinese restaurant like those located in Gurney plaza, Queensbay Mall and Gurney Paragon (Dragon-I, Souper Tang). The downside is the toilet could be dirty at some level with wet floor and tissue...

A Vibrant Shopping Experience in the Heart of Penang

1st Avenue Mall is a dynamic shopping haven that blends convenience, variety, and a lively atmosphere, making it one of Penang’s most beloved retail destinations. Located in the heart of George Town, this modern mall offers a perfect mix of international brands, local boutiques, and entertainment options that cater to all tastes and budgets.

From fashion and accessories to electronics and beauty products, 1st Avenue has something for every shopper. The spacious layout, bright ambiance, and welcoming atmosphere create an enjoyable shopping experience, whether you're picking up the latest trends or simply window shopping.

The food court offers a variety of local and international cuisines, perfect for a quick bite or a leisurely meal, while the mall’s entertainment options, including a cinema, make it a great spot to unwind after a busy day of shopping.

1st Avenue Mall strikes the right balance between modernity and accessibility, and its central location makes it a convenient stop for anyone exploring George Town. It’s more than just a mall—it's a vibrant hub for shopping, dining, and...

Another attempt to revive a mall next to the bus hub squalor that KOMTAR presides over with brands like H&M and Starbucks may yet succeed when Village Grocer opens here by their own undoing as only the post pandemic incoming tourists can afford such prices. No locals here, living off the streets since being evicted from their UNESCO zone abodes can be served anything other than the free aircon air that cools their sweaty unwashed bodies. No less comfort offered for over a decade under the noses of a corrupt feudal State that has sidelined affordable homes for the coffers of cronies building ever more unattainable edifices, the next mega development at Burmah Square over former squatter and servant housing. Such is the irony of our social conscience, a dilemma of our own foolish electoral choices. After all, we have been taken for fools by fancy rhetoric spewed out from above by those small minded who...
