Lalaport is a shopping destination that left an indelible mark on my retail experience. From the moment I stepped into this sprawling complex, I was greeted with a vibrant atmosphere and a wealth of shopping options that cater to a diverse range of tastes and interests.

Ā Ā Ā Read moreThis brand new mall in KL city centre opened its door in Jan 2022 and has a lot of potentials to offer. While it is now still in its infancy stage with many shops are upcoming, Lalaport gives a good impression so far. It is clean, well-maintained, giving visitors calm, peaceful with its soothing ambiance. The overall architecture design of the mall is fantastic. Worth mentioning, the idea to install lighting underneath the handrail of escalators works very well, they are cool. As I know not many shopping malls do that nowadays!
Accessibility is easy. Lalaport is situated strategically at Jalan Hang Tuah in Bukit Bintang City Centre (BBCC). It has direct access to Hang Tuah Station on the LRT and KL Monorail lines and a five-minute walk to Merdeka Station on the MRT Sungai Buloh-Kajang (SBK) Line. If you are driving, it is easy to locate, just opposite Times Square. Located within the vicinity of Sg Wang Plaza, Low Yat Plaza, and more.
One thing I think need speedy improvement is the reception of mobile phone signal. I am currently on Celcom and looks like the coverage is very bad, at certain floors couldn't get a signal at all. Not sure of other telcos though.
Nojima, Nitori, and Mr. DIY are some of my favorite stores. Nojima reminds me of Harvey Norman, you can find electrical, computers, furniture, and even bedding under one store. I noticed Nojima offers more brands compared to Harvey Norman. In Nojima you can find Apple, Lenovo, HP, Acer, and more to mention all here. And yes, they do offer extended warranty too just like Harvey Norman.
At Level 4, the rooftop garden is a good place to relax or catch a glimpse of the world's 2nd tallest building PNB118.
One thing that caught my attention is the lift has a contactless button! yes, it is contactless and you do not have to physically touch the button to press it. Move your finger close to the button that you wish to press and bingo, it is pressed without touching it! While I do not know if other shopping malls have this cool feature at their lift, I have never seen any contactless lift button in any other malls in Klang Valley so far. That's very cool and importantly useful, especially during the Covid-19 Pandemic.
This is just the starting of course for Lalaport, I hope to see more when I return to Lalaport next time. Hope it continues...

TDLR: horrible parking management scammed my money
There were: Unjust clamping of cars at a āno parking zoneā when in reality, no proper signages were put up ANYWHERE near the parking spot. The no parking cones were only put up after I came back to my car, INSISTING that none of them had anything to do with it and instead it was us who āmovedā the cone aside so we could occupy the spot. For what? to land ourselves a fine when the parking office was mere steps away? Mind you this was not an isolated experience there was an individual with an extremely similar experience in the reviews, this was clearly DELIBERATE on the staffs part, feigning innocence. Unprofessional staffs, when the issue was brought up every one of them kept shifting responsibilities to one another, asking us to deal with it with each of their higher up. In the end the person in charge, the manager did NOT allow us to speak to their manager. Kept telling us time was running out they didnāt have time to talk it out with us anymore only to sit around in the office chatting away. She even THREATENED to call the security on my sibling after she cried and had a panic attack after getting overwhelmed by the whole situation. In the end we decided to pay the fine bc no matter what proof and reasoning we came up with they still claim that it was our fault. Never in my life have I felt so terrible and wronged because of such a silly mistake of not knowing this minor detail. also here are some pics of the āno parking zoneā no signages no nothing! After we left, once again, nothing was put up to indicate that it was a non-occupiable spot, alr otw to their...
