One of the worst hotels in Melaka in terms of customer service. We stayed here only because of its location, which is near Dataran Pahlawan and a few other main attractions. However, when it comes to the staff, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had at a 4-star hotel.

First issue: When I arrived, there were two receptionists on duty, but only one seemed to know their job. The other receptionist constantly had to refer to her colleague, causing long queues at both counters. Keep in mind, this was at 6:30 PM, and the check-in line was still long due to this inefficiency. If the second receptionist was new, this was definitely not the right time for training.

Second issue: It took an excessively long time for our luggage to be delivered to our room. We had to make countless calls to the reception, and at one point, they even called us back to ask for details about our bags. This was the first time I encountered a hotel that provided luggage tags but seemingly failed to tag our bags properly.

Third and worst issue: The staff during breakfast were cold and unfriendly, including the Indian manager in a coat. No one cleaned up the tables, which were all occupied with dirty dishes. As a result, the breakfast area became overcrowded, since guests had nowhere to sit unless they cleared the tables themselves.

The workers were unapproachable, and the Chinese lady at the egg counter looked visibly irritated. She kept banging the pan and showing an unwilling attitude. I even overheard her complaining to her colleague about how long it would take to finish her shift. She also didn’t bother to refill the condiments like onions for the eggs.

Additionally, the hotel served cheap cereal, which is unacceptable for a 4-star hotel. I wouldn't be surprised if the Koko Krunch and Cornflakes were from Mydin. The breakfast selection was terrible.

If you’re reading this, my advice is not just to skip the breakfast buffet, but to skip this hotel altogether. Even 2-star hotels provide a much better experience.
