As Canadian travelers, we stayed here for two nights just into the Chinese New Year. I am extremely pleased with the value of money on cleanliness, service, quality, and location. No room issues. Linen was clean, crisp, and comfortable. Huge shower with a rainfall shower head that works. Nice pool view for us. Carpets, drapes, and bathroom are all well maintained. Adequate toiletries. Maybe not representative of the five-star rating, yet satisfactory. Never encountered any noise from neighboring rooms. Lots of elevators and quick service in them. All staff were extremely helpful and polite. Staff allowed us an early check-in, which is always welcomed. They have an advance bag drop as well for convenience. Yes, the pool was busy with children. Many families travel at this time of year, so it is not a genuine issue unlike other reviewers found. The gym is nicely appointed and air conditioned well. Need a little more lighting when heading back through the pool area at 10pm close. Breakfast selection was quite nice and varied. Would like a little more fruit choices, yet I certainly didn't go hungry. The only issue at breakfast is a shortage of staff to turn over the dirty tables considering the number of guests. The location of the hotel is premium. Two big malls within walking distance. A night market at the end of the road walkable from the hotel and also close to the old colonial fort. In the other direction, you can find a number of open-air local small eateries. The hotel links internally with two malls, so covered access is a plus. Also, just off the lobby is conveniently a 7/11, dimsum restaurant, local restaurant, and a cafe. It's super convenient and a great idea. Overall, it was a very pleasant stay, and I wouldn't hesitate to be a repeat guest.

Hatten Hotel Melaka is a modern and luxurious 4-star hotel located in the heart of Melaka, close to famous attractions such as Jonker Street, A Famosa, and St. Paul’s Church. The hotel stands out with its contemporary design, spacious spaces, and professional service. The rooms at Hatten Hotel are elegantly designed with a modern style and fully equipped with amenities such as a flat-screen TV, minibar, work desk, and private bathroom. Many rooms offer stunning city views, providing a relaxing experience for guests. The hotel also features premium facilities like an outdoor swimming pool, fitness center, and spa to meet guests' leisure and relaxation needs. The breakfast buffet at the hotel’s restaurant is highly rated for its wide variety of local and international dishes. The friendly and professional staff are always ready to assist, contributing to a memorable experience for visitors. However, the hotel can get crowded, especially during peak travel seasons, leading to waiting times at the reception or breakfast area. Additionally, The room interiors could be upgraded to match the 4-star standard. My room had a problem with the power outlet and had to call 3 times to get it fixed. In summary, Hatten Hotel Melaka is an ideal choice for those looking to explore Melaka's cultural charm while enjoying a comfortable stay. With its convenient location and good service, this hotel offers great value for money.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 – A Wonderful Stay at the Heart of Melaka! I recently stayed at Hatten Hotel Melaka and had a truly pleasant experience. The location is unbeatable – right in the heart of the city! Major attractions like Dataran Pahlawan, Mahkota Parade, A Famosa, and Jonker Street are just a short walk away. It's the perfect spot if you're planning a sightseeing or shopping trip. Parking is convenient, with ample space available. However, for smoother lift access, I recommend parking on levels 3, 6, or 9 – these floors are directly connected to the guest elevators and will save you time. One of the highlights of my stay was the breakfast buffet. There’s an impressive variety of local and international dishes – from freshly made nasi lemak and roti canai to pastries, cereals, and Western-style breakfast options. Everything was fresh, tasty, and well-presented. You’ll definitely want to wake up early for it! The hotel itself is clean and well-maintained. Staff were polite, helpful, and quick to assist with any requests. Overall, Hatten Hotel offers great value for the price, and I would highly recommend it for couples, families, or business travelers looking for a comfortable and strategic place to stay in Melaka. I’ll definitely be coming back!

Checked in on 2nd December 2024 and everything seems fine except that the toilet door is faulty and the aircon is not cool enough. Oh. And the toilet bowl is leaking. On the 2nd day 3rd December, I called housekeeping at 12pm to have my room makeup. Returned at 3pm and the room has yet to be done. Called housekeeping again and was told it will be done at 5pm. Returning at 615pm, toilet wasn't washed at all, table wasn't cleaned at all. Towels wasn't changed and other amenities wasn't topped up. Called house keeping again and I have to leave the room as they arranged another person to do the makeup. I then proceed to the restaurant to make some in room dining orders at 630pm. Returned to my room at 645pm and the room was cleaned. Finally. Thought everything was over? No. I waited for my food until 8pm and I rang up in room dining. They told me my order of fish and chips was sold out. Mind you, I have to call them to be told that the item was sold out. Last day, after housekeeping, my in room dining orders from the previous day was still on the table. And to my disgust, you gave me a stained towel?! I booked because I saw it was a 5 star hotel with good location. I am utterly disappointed.

Hotel check in system is screwed up. Our check in process took almost forever because the staff said that 2 out of 4 rooms which were under our name were checked in by someone else. They kept asking the same questions e.g. checking in of passport, rooms, basically the entire process of checking in when we already did it before. The staff also left us hanging, running back and forth from the counter to the back office. They came back to us after a long period of time saying that there was only 3 single and 1 king room available when we originally booked 3 king room and 1 single room. Does this make any sense? After 2 hours had passed, they said that the rooms we originally booked are available. Staff at the counter were extremely inefficient! The rooms conditions were also very dirty. Unpleasant is an understatement! The curtains had some dark copper red stains that look like blood(?) and the bed sheets also had a weird orange stain on it. There were also other wet stains on the bed sheets as you can see from the pictures attached. Overall an extremely unpleasant experience. Please save yourself the trouble and do not consider booking this hotel if you’re planning a holiday in Melaka.

1:25am, 26th Jan 2025...I movd to a new room after a total blackout caused by a spark and fire at the AC contrll, which filled the room with a strong burnt smell. Since earlier this eveng, I had complained about the burning smell n sparking sounds. The technician checked and said everything was fine n the smell had dissipated. I've been informed to report such incident shall happen again. Around midnight, I heard the sparking sound again n at about 1 a.m., I noticed sparks and flames near the AC contrl, which caused a blackout in the entire room. I informed the hotel staff, and the technician conductd an inspection before moving me to another room. This is an experience I’ve never encountered before, especially with my family. Thankfully, no accidents or serious harm occurred. However, it was exhausting to deal with such an incident in the middle of the night. I hope the hotel prioritizes guest safety in the future. I would like to thank the technician, operator, front desk n everyone who assisted me during this ordeal.
