DO NOT USE THE LOCKER (DR. LOCKER) IN SUNWAY PYRAMID Yesterday 21Sept2024, My daughter rented a locker in Sunway Pyramid mall. She deposited her cabin sized luggage and small backpack, intending to spend her day in the mall before meeting up with friends later in the afternoon. The locker has no key, it is an automated machine requiring only the keying in of mobile phone number and the colour code of your choice. When the time came to collect her bag, my daughter could not unlock her locker, the machine could not detect my daughter's mobile number. When she reported her problem to the reception staff, she was told to call the Dr. LOCKER's hotline number. The reception staff said they could not help and told my daughter to continue calling the hotline number. It took my daughter and her friend, my niece and I more than 6 hours continuously calling the hotline number to no avail. No one was answering the hotline number +6010 7776969. My daughter then tried for the last time around 9pm to contact the reception staff, I think the staff then realised the hotline number is useless. The reception staff contacted another staff who contacted the 'middle man' of Dr. Locker. Only then, my daughter received a call from Dr. Locker contact person and who then told my daughter to go back to Sunway Pyramid, that Dr. Locker contact person then press a button remotely from wherever he was to open the locker for my daughter. We are lucky to have family and friends in KL, if you are a person helpless with no local contact, you better DON'T USE THE DR. LOCKER's locker in SUNWAY PYRAMID. It was more than 6 hours of stress and trauma for my daughter. She had a lucky escape last night, her international flight is in 2 days time. So please avoid using the locker in Sunway Pyramid mall if you have a flight to catch. It is risky! The 3rd party who operates the locker does not give a damn about your predicament only interested in your money! I don't have anything to say about Sunway Pyramid management, they should know better! Just too bad there is no option for zero star.

The retail floors will have four atriums at each corner for you to keep track of where you are. They are the Blue Atrium, Orange Atrium, Main Atrium and the skating rink. Even with this, I was constantly confused as to where I was. Sunway Pyramid Mall has themed districts that make it easy to forget where you are, and two of the atriums (main atrium and the skating rink) will have three branching paths coming off them. One themed district is neat, but Sunway Pyramid Mall has four. The Marrakesh neighbourhood on LG2 is the loveliest. The Moorish design elements, coloured fairy lights and fake blue sky didn’t feel very much like Morocco, but more like I was in The Venetian in Las Vegas. The outlets located in Marrakesh are a bit of a mishmash and don’t particularly match the theme. Yes, the one middle eastern restaurant was here, but I also passed by a Dubuyo and Gong Cha while walking through. Asian Avenue is the only district to get a directory listing on the Sunway Pyramid website. It is on level F and its boundaries are marked with eye-catching signage. It is a mix of fashion and food in this quarter, and this time, the outlets are more Asian inspired. The Marrakesh and Asian Avenue areas are both located in the long corridor between the Blue Atrium and the skating rink. Oasis Boulevard is on floor G and is only accessible if you exit the mall from the main atrium and turn right, or walk through the Parkson. This is a small district that is only populated with sit down restaurants, I’m pretty sure. The final neighbourhood is called Fashion Central, but I have no idea what this is. I didn’t notice any other areas that had a different design concept that could’ve been this zone.

This massive mall has something for everyone, whether you are looking for food, clothing, tech gadgets, or sports equipment. One of the standout features of this mall is the sheer variety of stores available. From international brands to local retailers, Sunway Pyramid offers a diverse shopping experience that caters to all needs and tastes. Whenever I visit, I find myself drawn to the sports shops, where I often purchase new gear. If you’re into fitness or sports, you’ll love the range of items available, from footwear and apparel to equipment for various activities. Another highlight is the IT and electronics section. I’ve made several tech purchases here, and the selection is always up-to-date with the latest gadgets and accessories, making it a haven for tech enthusiasts. Of course, you can’t visit Sunway Pyramid without indulging in its wide range of dining options. From fast food to fine dining, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re craving local delights or international cuisine, the mall has you covered. The layout of the mall, designed with the iconic pyramid and Egyptian theme, is spacious and easy to navigate. It’s also well-connected to public transport and has ample parking space. Overall, I highly recommend Sunway Pyramid to anyone looking for a complete shopping experience. Whether you’re visiting for a specific purpose or just browsing, this mall never disappoints.

One of the huge shopping malls in the Klang Valley area. Big complicated shopping mall. There is a skating place, bowling, TGV cinema for entertainment which attract people to visit this mall during weekend and holiday period. Besides that, there are so many restaurant to choose with different type of food such as Thai food, Vietnam food, Indonesia food, Western food and of course local foods. The newly opened Donki store on the top floor is attractive for consumers. There is an exhibition hall for all kinds of events and many big events are conducted here such as Home Deco, IT fair, Education fair, Wedding fair, Baby fair and all kinds of banks fair. Seasonal decoration also is very attractive, for example Chinese New Year celebration, Hari Raya celebration, Deepavali celebration & Christmas celebration. There are so many other shopping malls especially in Kuala Lumpur city center but Sunway Pyramid shopping mall is one of the biggest shopping mall located slightly out of Kuala Lumpur city center. It is located to the west of Kuala Lumpur city center, in the mid way from Klang city to Kuala Lumpur city where most people from the west will visit here instead of other shopping malls in KL city center. Overall, this shopping mall is clean and well maintained. Toilets were clean and considerably refreshing as well. It is difficult to find parking here during peak periods. There is several hotels connected to this shopping mall and there is Sunway Lagoon too.
