I recently visited The Walking Hotpot for the first time, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! This cozy spot offers individual hotpot servings, allowing everyone to enjoy their favorite flavors without compromise.
The moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting ambiance. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, guiding me through their extensive menu and helping me choose the perfect broth and ingredients.
I opted for the spicy mala bowl, and it did not disappoint! The flavors were rich and robust, with just the right amount of heat to keep things exciting. I chose the beef bowl, and the beef slices were thin, delicious, and generously portioned with lots of fresh ingredients. I heard it’s specially made for mala lovers, and I really loved it.
One of the highlights was the Osmanthus Ice Jelly – a must-try! The unique taste of this cool drink was both refreshing and tasty, making it a perfect complement to the hotpot.
Additionally, I would highly recommend the Australian Beef Slice, Pork Slice, and Lamb Slice. All the meat slices were incredibly fresh and enhanced the overall dining experience.
The portion sizes were generous, and the pricing was reasonable considering the quality and experience. It's perfect for both solo dining and small groups who prefer a personalized touch to their hotpot meal.
Overall, The Walking Hotpot exceeded my expectations. It's a gem for hotpot enthusiasts looking for a personalized and flavorful dining experience. I’ll definitely be back to try more of their broths and...
Read moreWe got lured in by the insanely fragrant mala that drives us nuts, we scribbled the order form with our ticks, sat down impatiently waiting for the food to arrive as we kept fidgeting our legs.
The food came, the fragrant was even vivid, a light bulb has been lit up in our brain as we slurp down the hot and spicy soup into our throat. We couldn’t feel our tongue and desperately grasps for air. It was hot, really hot. A well of cold water started to run down from my back as I kept making wontons out of sweat and tissues. I can’t wait for my toilet session.
The portion and the price was reasonable for us, (maxed out at rm27.5 per bowl with a drink) at least our cravings were fulfilled. Mala was pretty on spot with enough heat and numbness because the formula was handled by the Chongqin owner.
Food was served rather quick, I guess they saw us fidgeting. Place has a nice view of the lagoon, will definitely come...

Order at counter. Their set seems more value for money than ala-carte. Reason i like them is because they have all the veggies i like.
They have 2 types of soup, sour radish and mala. Mala you can customise the spicyness level (mild/medium).
Set A-4topping, Sour Radish soup base (rm18.90); comes with staple food, and drink of the day. Staple food option is rice, korean noodle and rice noodle. Sour radish soup is pretty good once you get use to the sourish flavour. Ingredients are of decent portion.
Its a decent place to get my leng ngau and soup craving. Only thing thyy could improve on perhaps more...
