La Qoubba Galerie d'Art — Attraction in Marrakesh Prefecture

My wife and I first visited La Qoubba Gallery during our city trip to Marrakech in 2023 and were immediately captivated by Moroccan art. At the time, we didn’t purchase anything, but we were determined to return one day. During road trip through Morocco in 2025, we came back and Rida took all the time for us. Ever since we arrived in Marrakesh we wanted to visit an art gallery, as we always do wherever we travel. Sadly the experience we had here was not a good one. The owner shouted and came at us very aggressively because we tried to take a picture. We told him we didn't know and that we understand but he kept on being rude and gave attitude to our apologies. Indeed there is a sign about no pictures, but let's be honest, that is not the first thing you see when you enter a gallery, you see the beautiful paintings. I’m genuinely surprised by some of the low-rated comments about this gallery. A few seem to be from people upset that photography isn’t allowed — even though it’s clearly stated at the entrance! It’s disappointing to see such a lack of respect for the rules and, more importantly, for the talented Moroccan artists whose work is on display.
