A SERIOUS WARNING PLEASE READ

My review is honest and genuine and not biased based on problems I has. So on new years eve we stopped for lunch as we had a busy day before the evening events. We were hungry and this place looked authentic and nice. We asked if we could sit on the roof terrace and they said go upstairs to check which we did and found a table luckily as after us many people came looking for a table and it was full. The table had many dirty plates as the previous guests just left but the waiter came fairly quickly to clear it.

We did not get menus for approx 20 minutes and had to ask which was the first red flag. HOWEVER prices are very very affordable for a media restaurant so we decided to give it a go. We had to call. Someone to take our order as no one was coming.

Our food took 1 hour and 15 min to come considering we got a cheeseburger, tuna sandwich and 3 tagine that is all. Many things we asked for were ignored they never brought us bread with the tagine or ketchup with the cheeseburger, when asked for the bread they bought it after we finished our meal. And ketchup never arrived. Our drinks were missing they never brought that despite them writing down our order.

Staff really do not care, they honestly do not care one bit and they act as if they don't care if they get fired.

Food was very good on the plus side which reading other reviews we were very lucky.

On the front door they have a big visa sign saying they accept cards and when you go to pay they don't accept payment by card and want cash only and when arguing with them it is a shock the card machine works and they ar just doing this to avoid tax. And when paying the bill they added 6 mad to the bill to pay the card which is illegal as they did not tell me previously and refused to take it off. I am not going to fight for 50p as I had been waiting for ages and just wanted to go.

When telling the guy about the awful service he said this is morocco, TRUE BUT even in the media staff do not provide an awful service like this and do not treat you like nothing! He then said this is a luxury restaurant. Again TRUE but I think even in a fast food takeaway they get your order right and don't get mad when you tell them you forgot something and then try to avoid tax and say your WiFi does not work and you can't take card.

If you want tea ok go to the terrace but don't expect a menu or them to come to you. Go to a better place, yes it is cheap but expect to spend. Over 3...

Honestly, I wish I had read the reviews before going to this restaurant. Firstly it took so long for the waiter to bring over a menu we just looked for one ourselves- happens. Following this it took 20-30 minutes for them to come and take the order, all the while his colleague was standing behind us wrapping cutlery having watched us go look for a menu. At no point did he offer to help. Order placed, 45 minutes later the waiter returns asking for the order again as he lost the first. Second order placed, 20 minutes later he comes back with two chicken kebabs - we ordered a crepe and an omelette. Sent the order back, as no one else in the restaurant claimed it. Waited another half hour for the food to arrive. Went downstairs to pay, they couldn’t find our order on their computer, looked through the menu to add up how much we owed. Paid by card, they charged us extra for card payments. Took over 2 hours overall for two relatively quick dishes. Poor service, food was bang average to taste- we have since both become really sick with food poisoning and this was the only place we ate today that we hadn’t tried before. Location is good, it has free WiFi and they have a good selection of sealed soft drinks, I would only suggest you come here if that’s all you need. Definitely don’t order any food if you want to enjoy the rest of...

So let me start off with the exterior and interior. The restaurant is pretty easy accessible and looks pretty nice on the inside, going up two floors the rooftop looked pretty nice with a lovely sight of old medina. Also, it was not busy when we were there. Now starting off with the service. The employee that helped us did not know any english, instead of getting someone who could speak proper english he just tried to do random things. We had the english menue and pointed at the dishes we wanted. Even with pointing at the dishes he could not understand. After 'ordering' and waiting for half an hour he came with some dishes. And guess what, one of our guys did not even get his food. Besides that, he messed up 3/5 drinks we ordered. After complaining and getting our drinks and food, we got the wrong orders. Like, completely wrong. And eventually we did not get the correct order after an hour. So we only paid what we got and left ASAP. Btw, it did...

A nice restaurant located right next to the Ben Youssef Madrasa. The food was honestly amazing – the Carbonara was probably the best I’ve ever had, and I liked that you can choose between different types of pasta. We also ordered a pizza and shawarma, and both were delicious and freshly made. The service was friendly and attentive, and the food came quite quickly. Inside it was a bit noisy because of the coffee machine that kept running, and at the beginning, the place could have been a bit cleaner. Still, the overall experience was really good – mainly because the food quality was outstanding. Definitely worth a visit if you’re nearby!

We called in here twice. Once for a quick drink and local sweet pastry and once to have a bit more to eat. Nice location beside several main attractions and just around the corner from the best herboriste in town, Herboriste Des Amis. Great selection of refreshing drinks and local sweets. As for some reviews about lack of English speaking waiters, did you try to speak their language ? We had no issues and found the staff to be very polite and accommodating. We found the gazelle horn pastry is a must try as it actually tastes like the beautiful aromas found around the town.
