Hi everyone, so first of all, we checked into the room everything was fine but then after a few minutes being in the room we found there was like a bottle cap just a little bit under the bed. At first we did not notice it, but then I complained to reception and they just said oh I’m sorry and nothing else. as well, there were no towels in the room and I requested them and housekeeping lady who deliver the towels to the room did not speak Slovenian, neither English, so that was a bit disappointing. Then the next day during the checkout they did not even mention These bad situation that happened with our room, not being clean as we would expect it, so we did not appreciate it, even a small gesture like sorry or anything similar would help. And since that was not enough two days after we already got back home, they charged my credit card with explanation that I used a minibar amenities, which I did not since I know that you need to pay for them in any hotel you go. I explained to them, I guess too soon in the conversation that I had my water bottle in the fridge when they replied to me that the fridge in the room is not to store any personal items, after that, I felt even worse because it looked like THEY WERE ACCUSING ME THAT IS MY FAULT that they charge me for minibar amenities and not their mistake. I believe this minibar fridges work based on how much weight is in it. Eventually after many emails conversations I got my money back, since of course, nothing was taken from the fridge. Very unpleasant situation which could easily be avoided with better communication. So unfortunately I do not recommend staying at this hotel because this was not the first unpleasant experience here.

My friend and I were staying at the Rikli Balance hotel, on the banks of Lake Bled. The hotel has a very high standard, with a beautiful view to the lake. The reception staff is excellent. When we arrived we received a room suitable for disabled people. We asked to move to a room. The receptionist found us a regular room, despite the hotel rush at the time. We were on a half-board basis, the food in both meals, morning and evening were excellent, plenty of meat, cheese, fish, vegetables, salads and so on. The pools are excellent, there are several pools, there is a hot Jacuzzi, there are slides in the pools. Many seating areas, as well as we were in the spa, the massage was wonderful, and refreshing. The distance from all the attractions in the area is small, from the mountain car park, from the attractions park, and from the promenade on Lake Bled. In addition to the wonderful crew we organized a balloon flight, which is one of our most beautiful attractions. The hotel has parking so there is no problem getting along with a car, the distance from all the attractions of Slovenia is perfectly reasonable about two hours from Piran and about an hour and a half from the stalactite caves. We were very impressed with the hotel, the cleanliness, the food, the location, proximity to the attractions, and the amazing view. The only drawback is that the air conditioner, which does not cool enough, but we still slept with an open window and it did its job. (We visited early September) And in conclusion warmly recommend the hotel !

The Rikli Balance hotel is very nice. We stayed for two nights in mid-November 2019. The weather was rainy and a bit cool. The room was a bit warm for our tastes and we needed to crack the patio door to let in some cool air. The mattress, pillows and covers were good, as were the bathroom facilities. One comment, there is no bar soap, only liquid soap for both the sink and bath, see photo. Although this may be more environmentally friendly, I prefer bar soap. They did not provide a wash cloth so I used a hand towel in its place. We ate in the upper restaurant which is buffet style for both dinner and breakfast. We thoroughly enjoyed dinner, particularly the lamb and steak. The sorbet was also excellent. The buffet costs 25 Euros each. The breakfast similarly was excellent. I do wish they would cook their bacon a bit more crispy, but that is a minor complaint. I had fried eggs, crusty bread, a chocolate croissant and a bit of cheese. It was great. They do have a spa but we were off sight seeing so never used it. I will say getting in the hotel with the large buses our tour used was tricky and one car stuck between two buses was quite aggravated. Again for me this was a minor issue, but i wasn’t driving the car... I highly recommend this hotel and I would stay here again.

I recently stayed at Rikli Hotel and, frankly, if you're seeking relaxation and quality, steer clear at all costs! Despite the promising pictures and descriptions depicting a serene retreat, it's nothing more than an outdated family hotel. The spa experience was a proper nightmare with overcrowding, as they allowed external guests in, and screaming children took over even the jacuzzi! Lake view? Yes, you can catch a glimpse, but it's far from the picturesque scene promised. The rooms are basic, the bathrooms are appalling, and forget about shampoo or conditioner – just a generic 4-in-1 gel, reminiscent of a 1-star motel. Breakfast, touted as 4-star quality, is anything but, with disorganization and early morning chaos reigning supreme. Save yourself the disappointment and look elsewhere for your getaway. Furthermore, to add insult to injury, they charge a hefty €10 per night for parking, and finding a spot is an absolute nightmare. As if that weren't enough, the spa experience, which one would assume is included in the stay, comes with an additional fee of €27 – what a joke! This nickel-and-diming approach only adds to the disappointment of what was supposed to be a relaxing retreat.

The hotel looks much better inside than from the outside. The rather old school exterior cannot compare to the renovated and luxurious interior. I wasn't a guest of the hotel itself so so cannot rate their rooms and related services. I only visited the wellness pool complex Živa which you have daily three hour access to free of charge if staying in another hotel belonging to Sava Hoteli chain. The pools are much smaller than I expected, certainly not for swimming but rather just relaxing in their warm waters which is nice but the temperature is not high enough for the outside pool offering a stunning view of a Bled castle. Definitely not in February. When there are more people, especially in the afternoon and evening, it gets quite crowded and noisy. Not bad but I am not sure how good the deal is of you need to pay, probably a bit overpriced but as a part of a package it's ok and worth it, at least for a while. I do appreciate the safety deposit boxes, changing cabinets and hair dryers galore - useful, comfortable and convenient.

A nice hotel with a beautiful view. The soundproofing of the rooms is not the best, you can hear the children running in the hallways. Bathroom is nice, modern and clean, but has no ventilation. On one hand the room itself is also nice and modern, on the other hand, the terrace has dirty and cheap plastic chairs. Both breakfast and dinner were ok, but the servers barely speak English, so communication with them is a bit difficult. Drinks are charged separately for dinner and are expensive in my opinion. The wellness area is nice and big, but most pools are very cold. The water was pleasant in just two smaller pools, so they were usually full. The safety glasses next to the upper pools were dirty. The jets of the large pool upstairs were not working. I'd recommend asking for a parking space in advance, because the parkinglot was full at the hotel. Overall, it's a nice hotel, but there are a lot of families with children, so I wouldn't necessarily recommend it to couples who just want to relax.
