The Queen’s Walk — Attraction in London

A must-do for any London visit!

This beautiful walk starts at Lambeth bridge, but I usually go for the abridged version.

Start your journey at the top floor of Southbank Centre (soak in the views of the Parliament and London Eye). Afterwards, enjoy a refreshing drink at the BFI Southbank or iconic National Theatre, with its impressive architecture.

As you stroll along, the majestic Shakespeare's Globe Theatre will come into view, transporting you back to the Elizabethan era.

Continue your walk, passing by the Tate Modern, a haven for modern and contemporary art. Admire the ever-changing exhibitions or simply enjoy more panoramic views of the city from the rooftop terrace.

Cross the Millennium Bridge, a pedestrian walkway offering stunning vistas of St. Paul's Cathedral, before heading back to the South Bank.

As you walk, keep an eye out for the charming pirate boat and the vibrant Borough Market, a haven for foodies and souvenir hunters.

End your walk in grand style, crossing the iconic Tower Bridge and exploring the historic Tower of London.

Everytime I visit London, even if it was for only one day, I do the Queens Walk along the Thames. I have seen the area change a lot in the past 15 years. When it used to be rather quiet (except for the school classes around Shakespear Globe and tourists taking pictures of Tower Bridge) it is BUSY today. There are dozens of food trucks, cafes and restaurants in the area around the National Theatre and Dozens of Cruise Ship Groups around Old London City Hall... Direkt am London Eye und neben dem Jubilee Gardens gelegen ist der Queens Walk / South Bank. Hier kann man schön an der, mit Bäumen bepflanzen Themse - Uferpromenade, entlang schlendern und die tolle Aussicht auf Westminster genießen. Hier entstehen auch die besten Fotos vom Clock Tower oder Elisabeth Tower (Uhrenturm der Glocke - Big Ben ) Ausserdem natürlich auch auf das wunderschöne Houses of Parliament, das man dann auch endlich in der Gesamtheit fotografieren kann inkl. der Westminster Bridge. Ganz besonders schön ist es Abends wenn auch noch das London Eye und die Westminster Bridge illuminiert werden. Auf dem Weg gibt es aber noch mehr zu erleben, so finden hier zahlreiche Veranstaltungen statt. Immer wieder finden hier verschiedene Märkte statt und häufig findet man hier Foodtrucks mit jeder Menge Leckereien, Tanzveranstaltung waren hier auch schon zu sehen, auch findet man hier Second Hand Bücherverkäufer, sowie immer wieder Straßenkünstler usw. usw. Hier ist fast immer etwas los. Außerdem befindet sich hier das South Bank Centre ( kostenlose Toiletten) hier finden viele Konzerte statt. Es gibt hier auch noch ein Kino und das National Theatre hat hier sein Zuhause. In South Bank gibt es auch viele Restaurants, Geschäfte, Noch zu erwähnen ist das neben dem London Eye auch noch der London Dungeon ist, sowie Shreks Adventure and last but not least das London Sealife Aquarium.
