2nd time eating here.. Unfortunately this was not such a great experience. First off let me go in by saying I had high expectations as I have eaten at this place before. However, my daughter and I were very dissapppointe. When we first walked in there was no staff around and we stood there for quite sometime before i finally started to walk further in and get someone's attention. Once it was determined it was the 2 of us we got to choose a booth. We sat down and waited another few minutes as the person seated us was going to the table next to us to talk to those customers and then wipe a table down. She finally came back and realized we had no menus. Once we ordered I was so excited and couldn't wait cause I remembered it from the last time being here and in about 10 min (which was awesome to get it that quick.) It was dry, cold, and kinda like it had already sat for 15 min. Knowing it hadn't we started to eat and when I say there was no flavor or juicyness or anything is an understatement. I had the pulled pork sandwich with curly fries and coal slaw. Which is a like a 25 dollar plate of food that is all ordered separately not as an ACTUAL plate of food. My daughter got a ceaser salad and curly fries. My sandwich was so dry and and just literally plopped on the bread. I pulled out BBQ sauce they had provided at the table. Which thank God it was there or it think I would still be there chewing. The curly fries were hard. When we left I gave the 3/4 of my sandwich I had left and tried to feed it to my dog. And now I'm worried cause she refuses to eat it. She eats almost everything, so this is worrying me. I hope I don't get sick from this. I do not recommend thi place to anyone. Oh and the only thing that was good there the waiter filled my daughter's soda before she was out without asking. ...

Stopped by for lunch after doing a tour in Talkeetna. The large outside patio looked great to have an outdoor lunch and enjoy their popular drinks. The patio had about a 15 minute wait, but there was open seating indoors. I wanted to eat on the patio, so opted for the short wait. Our server was slow to come by to take the initial drink and appetizer orders. She also didn't come by often throughout the meal and admittedly forgot to put in one of the orders. She must've been having an off day as the rest of the servers looked to be very friendly and efficient.

Ordered their blueberry mojito as it was recommended by several people when heard we were coming to Talkeetna. This was a great recommendation as it had a great blueberry taste that was balanced with the alcohol. Also, ordered two of their draft beers that were equally as good. For the food, ordered the nachos, brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, Caesar salad, and garden bowl salad. Food came out after about 15 minutes. I wasn't as impressed with the food, but I wasn't disappointed as it's a brewpub. The sandwiches tasted ok, but the plating was very bland and didn't look appealing. The salads and nachos tasted ok. The blueberry cheesecake tasted pretty good.

Overall, I'd still recommend coming here for the drinks and ambiance. The food was just something to have with the drinks, so my expectations weren't too high. I didn't have the best service, but the rest of the waitstaff appeared to be doing...

Stopped in for Dinner my first night in Talkeetna. Got the Fish & Chips. They were crowded and busy, to be expected. Was seated quickly however. My Server was friendly, and as efficient as possible given he was slammed. No complaints about the service. The choice of curly or sweet potato fries but no regular fries, seemed an odd choice for Fish and Chips, but wasn't a huge deal for me. The Tarter Sauce is a Lemon Caper, which I did not care for, but that's a personal preference. The Fish & Chips seemed like a solid portion. It is heavily breaded, which I like at times, provided the breading is cooked well and crispy throughout. This was good, but there were a few places the breading seemed a little soft, or floury, or doughy ,right at the fish inside. Looked great outside. This is not a serious complaint . They were busy and rushed I'm sure. No Slaw is served with this , which I kind of expected to have with Fish & Chips. This place has a "Corporate" feel to it, masquerading as Authentic Alaska. It's a solid option,in a town that's not exactly loaded with options. I would eat here again. The price point of $23 wasn't bad for the serving. Kinda want to try The...
