Stopped by for lunch after doing a tour in Talkeetna. The large outside patio looked great to have an outdoor lunch and enjoy their popular drinks. The patio had about a 15 minute wait, but there was open seating indoors. I wanted to eat on the patio, so opted for the short wait. Our server was slow to come by to take the initial drink and appetizer orders. She also didn't come by often throughout the meal and admittedly forgot to put in one of the orders. She must've been having an off day as the rest of the servers looked to be very friendly and efficient. Ordered their blueberry mojito as it was recommended by several people when heard we were coming to Talkeetna. This was a great recommendation as it had a great blueberry taste that was balanced with the alcohol. Also, ordered two of their draft beers that were equally as good. For the food, ordered the nachos, brisket sandwich, pulled pork sandwich, Caesar salad, and garden bowl salad. Food came out after about 15 minutes. I wasn't as impressed with the food, but I wasn't disappointed as it's a brewpub. The sandwiches tasted ok, but the plating was very bland and didn't look appealing. The salads and nachos tasted ok. The blueberry cheesecake tasted pretty good. Overall, I'd still recommend coming here for the drinks and ambiance. The food was just something to have with the drinks, so my expectations weren't too high. I didn't have the best service, but the rest of the waitstaff appeared to be doing a great job.

Stopped in for Dinner my first night in Talkeetna. Got the Fish & Chips. They were crowded and busy, to be expected. Was seated quickly however. My Server was friendly, and as efficient as possible given he was slammed. No complaints about the service. The choice of curly or sweet potato fries but no regular fries, seemed an odd choice for Fish and Chips, but wasn't a huge deal for me. The Tarter Sauce is a Lemon Caper, which I did not care for, but that's a personal preference. The Fish & Chips seemed like a solid portion. It is heavily breaded, which I like at times, provided the breading is cooked well and crispy throughout. This was good, but there were a few places the breading seemed a little soft, or floury, or doughy ,right at the fish inside. Looked great outside. This is not a serious complaint . They were busy and rushed I'm sure. No Slaw is served with this , which I kind of expected to have with Fish & Chips. This place has a "Corporate" feel to it, masquerading as Authentic Alaska. It's a solid option,in a town that's not exactly loaded with options. I would eat here again. The price point of $23 wasn't bad for the serving. Kinda want to try The Brisket Sandwich.

I have mixed feelings about this place. The food is really amazing (best I have had in Alaska), the service was great, and the atmosphere was very nice. However, the wait is REALLY REALLY long (July 19th, 2021, Lunch time, around 12:30PM). It is maybe because of two reasons: 1. In this season the restaurant is understaffed because of Covid-19. 2. I arrived after getting here by the Alaska railroad Denali Star, so a lot of people from the train went eating there too. Anyways, I waited for 1.5 hours to get a seat. Then I waited for 30-45min at the table to get my food. And they are so busy that after I finish my food, I waited another 20 minutes to get my bill and pay. If you have some schedule of the day and need to be somewhere else at a certain time, you should plan your visit at this restaurant much earlier. It is worthwhile to visit though if you have the time, because the food was really good! Picture is the curry short ribs and their soup for the day. PS. If you are here on a non-train-arrival day or if you eat here avoiding the peak time, then it should be much faster. :)

Denali Brewpub offers the perfect blend of adventure and craft beer in the heart of Talkeetna, a picturesque town just south of Denali. Founded in 2009, the brewery has grown from its humble Main Street origins to a 30-barrel operation at Mile 2 of the Talkeetna Spur Road, while remaining 100% employee-owned. During our visit, we had a great flight of beers but the Pepper Dog farmhouse was our favorite hands down. Also, this place was completely packed on a wonderful summer evening, which unfortunately meant rather slow service - even for a beer. The lively bar was full of locals and tourists, which were happy to strike up conversations, though, and that helped pass the time. If you're vacationing for beer, be sure to visit the actual brewery before heading into town as it offers a wider selection of beers and spirits, and freshly baked pizza. Denali Brewpub is a perfect spot to stop at while exploring the historic town of Talkeetna.

This place is great, even with their Covid measures in place. Had a great meal with the kids and wife, even though their is no table service and you have to order everything from the bar. Draft cocktails are solid and pack a punch worth the $10 price tag. Don’t miss the blueberry mojito. Also had a round of beers, Missus loved the Mother Ale and I’m a big fan of the Single Engine Red. Big props to TRISTAN! We left our daughter’s hoody at the table (I blame the mojito) and she chased us down on our way to ice cream elsewhere to bring it to us. Big win for the brewpub, since we were so grateful for her thoughtfulness we returned with her for dessert, I bought some merch for a buddy and a bottle of their craft whiskey for my pops. Win-win! Kids couldn’t get enough of the brownie, which was gone in like 1 minute. This place is a perfect mix of authentic and touristy, which is great to see. Don’t miss it!

Tour busses emptied out at lunchtime, and everyone scrambled towards food in the rain after not eating for more than a few hours (we just got off a cruise). All that to let everyone know they were creative with our party of 9 for seating and were extremely nice and patient. To top it all off, the food was amazing! I had the Twister Creek Burger, and my husband had the brisket sandwich. Both were excellent, but I recommend the burger and sweet potato fries and, of course, a beer. Denali single engine is a red ale and went great with the burger! Portions were great size, so plan ahead if you want to try dessert or just get one to go, which you can also do with the beer. Great service, great atmosphere, and great food, I highly recommend this place. I wish I had taken pictures of the food, but we were so hungry all you would have seen when I remembered was crumbs.
