What I expected to be a 15 minute museum visit ended up being an excellent - and surprisingly fun - 2+ hour trip. There is a wealth of information available about the history of pre-ten pin bowling, the evolution of the sport, the technology for all aspects of bowling, interactive exhibits and video games, and a free mini 2 lane alley you can use to your heart's content. There's a lot of information about women bowlers, which was excellent considering how little they are shown on TV or media. Their present stars and their role in making bowling popular in the late 1800s through to today are both covered. If you don't read anything, you could be done quite quickly, but if you take the time, there's a whole lot to see and learn from. Amazing museum that makes a comparatively niche interest into a fun and interactive experience. I was stuck in the area due to a multi-day flight layover and stopped by after seeing good reviews. The museum didn't disappoint. It wasn't busy at all and I experienced most of the exhibits on my own. All the exhibits are very well-made, informative, and entertaining. The interactive elements are also high quality and fun.

The exhibits also heavily feature women's perspectives in the sport, which was refreshing and done with a lot of respect.

The staff was also extremely friendly and I enjoyed my brief conversations with the woman at...
