Bibo’s Bistro & Bar — Restaurant in Texas

We just went to Bibo's Bistro for the very first time. I have read so many good reviews so we decided to check it out. When we got there we ordered our drinks (I was the only person who ordered an alcoholic beverage) and we ordered a few appetizers. The waitress came back and dropped off my daughter and husbands drink and said she would be right back with my drink. We went ahead and placed our order for our main courses. We have now been seated for at least 20 minutes. A group of at least 8 came in at this point and sits down - their waitress (appears to be the bartender) starts taking their drink orders. A bit later, maybe 5 minutes, our waitress comes back to the table and apologizes and states that the bartender just left without making my drink - she apologized and said she took it off our tab and gave a 20% discount. I then explained that it was unfortunate as this was our first time coming there. I looked up and noticed that the group of 8 were being served mixed drinks and then started getting their appetizers. We had not even received our appetizers, NOTHING at this point. The waitress never asked if I wanted anything else to drink - besides the water she gave me at the beginning. The table of 8 - remind you, they got there 20 minutes after we did - started getting their main course...still we had not received not one thing. By the time our food got out the night was ruined - and to add, we asked to cancel the order of wings because all of our food ended up coming out all together, slowly but surely. The food was not worth the amount of hassle we experienced. I have never had such HORRIBLE service in my life. Besides the drink issue, which was super weird, the over all service was poor. My appetite was ruined . At the end of the night the waitress comes around and drops off our check, we had full plates and she never once asked if we wanted to go boxes, nothing. My husband pays and then when she comes back asks her for at least one box. She again apologized for the issue and said she hopes to see us again soon - all I could do was look up at her and and say ummmm, yea - NO. I will never be going back here and will let everyone in my neighborhood know how bad of service this place has. It was truly a waste of our money. DONT WASTE...

Our regular pho place was closed and this place was listed here with 4.4 stars. Just down the street in generation park we arrived around 830pm for table of 6 with our out of town guests and as with new places i like to try a drink, an appetizer and we ordered our meals. Our waiter had to go behind the bar and make my drink. Waited an hour for our appetizer as they cleaned and removed tables. Husband had to ask what was taking so long for our meals. First we were told the kitchen was delayed due to "to go" orders. I can understand that. Husband asked again and was then told a last minute private party was underway. It escalated quickly when our waiter asked us to move to the patio within 10 mins. of receiving our meal. The waiter stated this was coming from the manager. I asked to speak to the manager. Manager was NOT on site nor available over the phone. Distasteful towards the restaurant that the private party birthday hostess who was sitting at the bar had to jump in on our behalf to de escalate the situation and said it was okay for us stay and finish our meal. A waitress came over and apologized to us and requested to know how our meal was. I told her my husband's meal is still on his plate and he explained fries were soaked in grease and the sandwich Korean flavor was too overpowering. This meal was removed from our bill. Ty. So folks this is how much it costs for this kind of service on a slow Saturday night at Bobo's. There was a total of 4 seated tables when we arrived and when this occurred there was 1 booth, 1 patio and us at a table occupying the restaurant. I can only assume we were targeted so that the table can be removed from the main area. Again very distasteful in how they'd just assume it would be okay to tell us to get up in the middle...

I go to Bibo's all the time and the owner is great but that manager is.... questionable. They used to have a bartender there named Trevor who was amazing; I knew we were going to have amazing service and a great experience each time we went, but now that he no longer works there, the service at the bar has really gone to s*. The last few times I have gone it hasn't been right. Something was always off. One time it was the food. Another it was the whole atmosphere... tonight it was the bartender, Jasmine. We walked in and she barely acknowledged that she had ppl sitting at the bar. It was only myself and my spouse sitting up there. She walked past us and asked if we wanted anything then kept walking, b4 we could even respond. There were a couple times we had to ask a waiter or waitress for things as simple as water or to go boxes. We could hardly get her attention to ask for anything and her personality just seemed to be off in general. The entire time we were there she ignored us. Yet she was smiling and giggling with the live performer that was there. The manager was sitting at the bar with us the entire time and said nothing. THEN we were charged 40 bucks for 2 old fashions, 18% automatic gratuity that was absolutely not deserved. 2 entrées and an appetizer, plus the 2 drinks that came out to about only 80 bucks turned into $115. It took us forever to even get the check. I don't believe I would have even been as upset if things were as good as it had been before. It hurts to say any of this because I used to really love that place, now I do not want to step foot back in there. We couldnt get out of there fast enough.
