2ND STAY October 21st, 2024:
Room was pretty clean. Staff was nice as always, balcony room has a wonderful view, and the desk set up was perfect; even had Ethernet cable. Two TVs (one in the living room and one the bedroom).
This stay increase score by one star. Vents had some old dust on them. Could tell it had been a few weeks. Overall, great stay. Will stay here again next year.

3.8 Stars out of 5
I stayed here October 16th and 17th 2023.
Parking on site is under the hotel in a garage. The garage is very secure. There is a big metal door that opens when you pull a paper ticket and closes when you drive in. I feel safe parking my car there.
The room itself was 3.5 stars out of 5. I rounded up to 4. View was amazing!! I got a city view king suite and loved that I had a balcony to just look around and see everything. Stains on the couch. There is no way I'm sitting on that thing to watch TV. Carpets are older. They clearly only clean what is visible. I looked under the bed and night stand. Layer of dust. Clear line from where they vacuumed and didn't (see pics). There was someone else's chapstick under the bed too.
BATHROOM: shower was nice. Gets real hot and pressure was great. When I got out of the shower I smelled a heavy PEE smell. I looked at the wall by the shower and saw pee all over the wall. All over the baseboards too. Also a layer of dirt from lack of cleaning. Made me wonder what else they skipped...ugh.
BED was comfortable. Thermostat was seemed to always be on cold no matter what I set it to. Vents were caked with dirt.
Coffee machine was missing a major part that made it not possible to make coffee or tea.
Someone else's name was on the TV. It said "welcome Angela".
TV had plenty of channels. Enough to meet your entertainment needs. Also had the option to log into Netflix.
FOOD: Prices are a bit outrageous. $5 for a small bottle of water. Food was way over-priced. It took me a while to get a hold of anyone from the room phone. When I did I was told there was a QR code I needed to scan a code to view menu and order. It was a real easy process. I ordered a turkey burger with fries and a piece of key lime pie. Burger was really good. Fries were delicious. My only issue is with the key lime pie. The menu gave me the impression that it was a slice of pie. It came pre packaged and was no way made in-house. I wouldn't have ordered it if I knew it was mass-produced and likely shipped in.
STAFF: Staff was really nice. They were always friendly and helpful. No issues there.
LOCATION: Great location. Near a ton of food and corporate offices. Felt like I could just go out the front door and walk/run a few miles without feeling unsafe.
SAFETY: I felt very safe at this hotel. Security is tight. My GrubHub delivery guy couldn't get in. I had to meet him at door.
Overall, I would recommend this hotel, but the cost is way too high all around for leisure/vacation stay. Drop the price by $50-$75 or so a night, then it makes sense to stay here. If your company is paying, yea it's a fine hotel.
I'd be happy to review other...
Read moreDuring my recent stay at the Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown, I encountered several issues that detracted from the experience.||||Check-In Experience:||The check-in process was subpar, lacking warmth and hospitality. After being handed my room keys, I inquired about Elite benefits and was curtly informed that I would receive points. When I asked about breakfast options, I was told I could choose between points or breakfast, with no further explanation or engagement. The interaction felt cold and purely transactional.||||Property Condition:||The hotel is undeniably old and in dire need of renovation. While I was aware of its age when booking, I was unprepared for the extent of its deterioration and the limited-service atmosphere. The only notable feature is the large suite rooms; however, I would prefer a smaller, modern room over a spacious but outdated one.||||Room Cleanliness and Layout:||Kudos to the housekeeping team for maintaining cleanliness; the room was spotless despite the aging infrastructure. However, the design is problematic—the bathroom sink is located in the carpeted bedroom area, which is unhygienic. I resorted to placing a bath towel on the carpet under the sink. The furniture is worn, the bed, though comfortable, was creaky, and the television outdated. You could tell this hotel was THE PLACE back in 2001, there are lovely touches like marble floors and nice fixtures. But in 2024 it’s all just old and run down. ||||Amenities and Services:||Unlike many hotels, there is no complimentary coffee bar in the morning, nor is there an executive or M Club lounge. When I inquired about this, I was rudely reminded of the in-room coffee machine. The bar offers coffee, but at $4.50 for a mediocre cup, plus tip, it felt exorbitant. The fitness center is inconveniently located on a random floor, is small, and requires significant upgrades.||||Overall Impression:||I cannot recommend staying here unless it’s the only available option in the area. There are AC and Moxy hotels adjacent to this property that I will consider for future visits until this hotel undergoes a comprehensive remodel. It’s perplexing how this property meets Marriott’s brand standards; a downgrade to a flag like Four Points or Fairfield seems more appropriate given its current state.||||Tips for Future Guests:|| • Consider Alternative Accommodations: Nearby hotels may offer more modern amenities and better service.|| • Inquire About Renovation Status: Check if any updates have been made before booking.|| • Manage Expectations: Be prepared for an outdated property with limited services.||||In conclusion, while the housekeeping staff does an admirable job with the resources available, the overall condition and service level of the Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown fall short of expectations for a Marriott property. Significant renovations and service improvements are necessary to bring it up...
Read moreWe were rushed at check-in by the valet staff although we were not using valet service. They made us feel like we were in their way and needed to be moved. We were not blocking anyone and had paid for our room and should be to be able to unload our luggage in peace. They kept taking over as we were unloading the car. There were enough of us in our group to handle it quickly without their interference. It only caused more stress and chaos. We have traveled enough that this did not seem normal. And I didn’t notice this with other guests checking in. Nor later in our stay when we had to wait on people checking in to move their car so we could pull through to exit or to get to the parking garage entrance. While dealing with this, my iPad and Apple pencil went missing from my car. Note, it was tucked between the driver seat an center console, pushed down to not be visible. It was also in a case that had a place for my Apple Pencil. I contacted the front desk multiple times to see if it had been turned in (wishful thinking, I know) & finally spoke with the manager. However, the hotel manager didn't see anything on their cameras so nothing was done because of a lack of evidence. I was even indirectly discouraged from making a police report. Find my iPhone app showed it at the hotel during the check in but no updates after that. Then went offline and when it came back online the tracking backed up to the location prior to the hotel. I called there for good measure but knew it wasn’t there. Knew I had it upon arrival to the hotel. I know things get stolen a lot in Atlanta. We were there to attend a wedding and this was the hotel for the guests. Lessons learned. The mattress for the pull out sofa was old, stained, and uncomfortable. This was the case in both rooms & the kids were not able to sleep well. They also did not provide adequate bedding for the couch bed knowing this was a 4 person accommodation with children. Yes we could have asked for more. But at that price I expected more. The parking garage is typical. They do charge for parking. And only guests can get in. I was not fan but I don't care for parking decks anyway. it did seem secure aside from my iPad going missing. In my opinion, it wasn’t worth the price. I have stayed at nicer places for less that did not cause the stress and met our needs and expectations. Alas this is Atlanta. The rooms have plenty of space and the king bed was comfortable. The views were great. Housekeeping staff was nice and the room was clean and stocked. The fridge is hidden giving a nicer looking presentation. Loved the doors for the bedroom. Plenty of outlets, great water pressure in the shower. Two sinks. Clean tub and separate shower. Carpet was soft. Elevators were quick but small but there are 3. Room key required to use elevator from parking deck if it’s past a certain hour which is a good...
