I came in to see Oren for a keratin treatment consult. I have fine moderately wavy blonde hair. After moving to Miami from NYC, I have been struggling with frizzy waves which I wanted help smoothing and calming. Oren assured me that the keratin treatment would be perfect for me and would help smooth, straighten, and revive my hair.
I came in for the treatment with Shak. The only thing the treatment did was make my hair limp and knock out my color. It looked even more damaged and frizzy then before. Shak convinced me that I needed a cut in order to make it look fuller and more even which I fell for as I was going into a state of worry. He then gave me a long haired mullet. I was extremely distressed about the end result and just left before I became more frazzled.
When I had keratin in the past my hair felt smooth and silky. It also required less air dry time and styling. My hair after their treatment dried frizzy, stringy and dull. I texted the salon a few days later with pictures of my hair explaining how my hair did not come out as promised. Laura asked me to come back in so that Oren could examine my hair. She assured me that they would take care of the issue.
The feedback I received from Oren was that the keratin treatment was not right for my “damaged hair”. I’d like to point out that my consult was with him and he was the one that told me how beneficial the keratin treatment would be for me. Then, his solution was to give me another keratin treatment. First he tells me it’s the best treatment then he says it’s not the right one and then he says that’s the solution. Why would I do another keratin treatment when the first completely destroyed my hair?
It was not only a waste of $450 but now I had to pay for new highlights and a cut to bring my hair back to some kind of life. Super disappointing. The entire experience. My hair certainly doesn’t look like all the videos the salon posts on Instagram. I’m not sure those are all real videos and photos of clients as I’m not are all these reviews are real.
Perhaps some clients have had good experiences here. I just want to warn those out there reading these reviews about my own experience. I have attached phots of what my hair looked like immediately following the treatment. Beware of receiving a keratin treatment here. Complete waste of $450 plus hundreds of...
Read moreThe hair dresser was over an hour late to the appointment. He had me show him a picture off their insta and I showed him a nice highlighted style. He proceeded to then dye my hair brown. Literally I was bleach blonde with grow out and he dyed my roots and my whole hair darker and said it was “better for me”. Then charged me $1K (1,000USD) for this single process, 1 hour service after trying to upsell me with every mask they have.
This was after I discussed my expectations and budget. The front desk girl also creepily followed me out to corner me and ask me to leave a positive review.
Probably one of the biggest scammers in Miami, and I kept showing off my hair to people and they all think it’s hilarious and unbelievable that someone would try to charge that much for this.
Also check out the pics. That’s his lovely paint botch job that looks like cheetah prints. $1,000.
The only positive part is that he didn’t use permanent dye so I have been fading it out so I can go to someone who will do a much better job for 1/4 of the price.
My reply to owner: This review is for Oren salon inside The One Hotel. Not surprised that they are denying they did this because who would want to admit that they're a scammer? Honestly it's sad because I loved their work on social media and was looking forward to this. Don't meet your...
Read moreTAKES ADVANTAGE OF TOURISTS, BIGGEST SCAMMERS IN MIAMI. I booked in my appointment for a blow-dry and beach waves. I have very long hair and I had clean fresh hair before I arrived to save them the trouble of having to wash it and my hair took under an hour for them to style. the blow dry took around 40 minutes and the beach waves 20 minutes. my beach waves lasted for 30 minutes. I WAS CHARGED $316 FOR THIS STYLE There is no where in Miami that charges this amount. Im the type of girl who doesn’t like conflict and I was pressured and manipulated into paying this amount. When they could see I was stressed about the amount, the owner told me “it took a lot of effort” which it clearly didn’t. 20 minutes later I came back with my partner we got security and management to come to the salon with us because we wanted to handle it in a professional manner and they closed shop, you can clearly tell they had made enough for the day to close early. I found their price list on the website and they charge for half a head of highlights which is a few hours work $365, SO WHY DID I PAY $316 for a blowdry. They clearly stole my money because I was a tourist and an easy target. I was extremely upset for the rest of the day and it’s not right, don’t go...
