I have eaten here a number of times over the past couple of years, and the food is good. I definitely like it enough to continue going. But I'm not super happy with the service here. My last visit, I came in 20 minutes before closing to place an order to go and the people at the counter had their jackets on like they were about leave. They had all of the stools on the tables like they were closed. I understand wanting to get home and live your life, but there are four tables. It would have taken no time to put those up just a but later. And the whole time I'm standing and waiting for my food, people are coming in to pick up orders. It's not like it was actually a slow night. And unfortunately this time the portions were skimpy. Normally they are massive, but I'm surprised by how little food I ended up being served. The other occasion I was not stoked on, was when I showed up at 9 pm on a sunday night and the place was closed. They just had a sign taped to the glass saying "sorry, we are closed early" Still tasty though

My go-to Thai takeout restaurant. They are very consistent with their food quality and quantity. Zion chicken is one of my favourite appetisers, which is served on a bed of lettuce. Chicken is crispy and spiced well a although sometimes when you ask for level 5, you usually get a 3. Pad see ew is one of their popular noodle dishes, and rightly so. They do have seating outside, but it’s mostly a takeout restaurant. There is plenty of parking nearby. If you’re picky about your spice levels, I recommend explicitly mentioning it to them so that they make it accordingly. Because sometimes it’s not as spicy as you want it to be. - a feedback to the Rice N Spice Team as well :) They prefer if you order on the phone or through their website as it saves them money. So try to do that, to support this local business.

Some of the best pad thai I have had. Comparable to food which is twice as expensive. Absolutely in love with the little shop as well as it's close proximity to Downtown Park in Bellevue. Word of note, it is on the mild side so if you like spicy food, make sure to ask for extra spicy. However, if you like it more mild then it is perfect at a level 2-3. Chicken was done perfectly and just the right amount of sauce on it. All in a handy to-go container complete with (actually) nice chopsticks. Highly recommend as a casual date or if you're just looking for some high quality Thai food.

I don’t really make Google reviews but I had to for this place because what I had to go through today was quite outrageous. Came here for lunch for the first time and it will definitely be my last. Arrived at around 12:05pm during my lunch break. I tried to call ahead to put in my order over the phone but they did not pick up. I called them six times but decided to just order once I’m there. Walked in with another group of three strangers. The three strangers ordered before me and we ordered back to back (four separate orders). The lady in the front told me and the other group that it would take 20 minutes for the food to come out. After about ten minutes the food came out for the three gentlemen and they left. I expected my food to come out but about five minutes later it wasn’t coming, so I went to ask if my order would be ready soon. The lady forgot my order and asked what my order was…I told her it was Pad see ew with chicken spice level 3. She said that it would take another 20 minutes since they had made a mistake and forgot to make my order. I was quite disappointed but I decided to just wait for the food since I already waited. Another 20 minutes passed and I got impatient as waves of people came and went. I asked again about my order and once again the kitchen/the lady in the front forgot my order again. She said it would take another 5 minutes, but it seemed like she didn’t care. No apology from anyone for their mistake, just stone faced with no emotion. At this point, I was quite upset because I ordered at the same time as the three strangers that I came in with but I was still here 40 minutes later. More people came and ordered and I just felt like the care and the service were non-existent. I came up to the front again to ask for the third time about my order that I put in about 40 minutes ago. The lady again with no care and empathy just said here it is, as it was coming out of the kitchen window. The demeanor and no care attitude of the lady just made we want to get a refund especially when they can’t even get one order right. Not only that but three times I had to go up and ask about my order and they kept on forgetting it after I paid. I got the refund and left the place very upset (left at 12:49pm). I understand that places such as restaurants can get busy but the aura of the lady in the front and miscommunication of the kitchen is just mind boggling. I haven’t experienced this ever and I guess I can consider myself lucky but this experience stood out as one of the worst I had ever had. Had to wait a little over forty minutes, wasted my lunch time, didn’t eat lunch because I lost my appetite, and had to remind the lady in the front three times about my order and if it was going to come out soon. I am sitting in the restaurant and Im literally the only one there for that long and the lady looks at me like she never seen me and keeps forgetting my order? Im never coming back here and I will be sharing my story of this place to everyone that wants to eat around the Bellevue area. Rice N Spice is a no go and Im ready to deter people from going here because I believe that what I experienced today shouldn’t be experienced by other customers as well. Avoid this place! Go to the other restaurants in Bellevue and you will get service and food like you would expect to get. Didn’t even get to taste the food because the service sucked so much, never have I had that happen to me. Hope this place goes out of business and I will be smiling through their window...

It is a shame that the food is great, but the lady at the counter is super rude, short hair with glasses. She better stops wearing glasses now or considers wearing hair wigs, because people start to recognize her.

When I came in to ask whether my order is ready, she responded with these: "Did I call your name?", "If I didn't call your name, then it's not ready". Lady, we don't tip for people like that.

First of all, we were waiting because the place is so small and packed with people during lunch time (we were not the only group waiting outside). Of course nobody would know if their name had been called, and people would just come in to check for their order after 20 minutes (the amount of time they were told their order would be ready)

Secondly, why in the world would you talk to customer like that? All you have to do was ask for order details and/or "Your order is not ready". We don't tip you for be treated like that. Also, keep in mind that when I came in to ask for my order status, I waited until nobody is in line to take order, it was not that I jumped into the line or interrupt anybody. I'm not that rude :)

Food is great, but that lady ruined the place....

I don’t really leave reviews, but I definitely read them before I go to a place. So let me tell you about this restaurant in the hopes that future potential customer won’t let this happen again. I ordered my food and the person at the front was efficient and pleasant. I got it, sat outside and ate an amazing meal! I even went back inside and ordered extra. Loved the food! But when I went back inside again to order seconds, all of the customers were totally rude. First of all, the sign on the door says to wear a mask and the plexiglass at the counter also says wear a mask. They’re not obligated to serve you, you are asking them for a service, so comply to their rules. Also, people need to stop being such entitled patrons. I know there are those who are trying to make conversation, but if they clearly don’t want to answer your irrelevant questions about their day… LEAVE THEM ALONE. The person upfront was even so courteous as to deflect my comment when I said, “You have some really entitled customers huh?” Like damn… eat your food and be nice. It is truly a wonderful meal if you can do the basics! I recommend this place a lot for those...
