I have always wanted to try this however, I am a little claustrophobic. It was very cool to learn that they had a big oversized tank that is more sized like a sauna which I could use.
I had a friend talk to me about this company and what a transformational, revitalizing and relaxing experience it was and I had to try it..
I am so glad that I did it! I have never had quite an experience like this in multiple facets. First off the buoyancy and weightlessness that you experience is unparalleled elsewhere. It is the equivalent of three times the salt ratio compared to the Dead Sea and you can tell.
The facility is absolutely top notch, extremely clean and feels just like a high-end spa.
The staff is ultra cool, super laid back but very attentive and professional.
I was able to unwind and lose myself within a trance state. The water was the perfect temperature and they seem to have every small detail covered to make it a seamless experience.
I used the Bellevue site and it has ample underground parking.
Their pricing is extremely reasonable and they seem to have lots of specials and promos.
I'm the type of person that loves to get massages and spend time in a spa and this was an incredible experience that I am looking forward to repeating regularly.
You have the option of listening to music they supply, or music or a meditation program or anything that you bring yourself on your phone, you can plug your phone into the sound system. You can have the lights on or off also. I thought I would have the lights on the entire time and I shut them off within 2 minutes once I realized just how comfortable I was.
My experience was in complete darkness with complete silence and it made me feel like I was floating in outer space, completely weightless with no sense of time, position or external input (which is so great in this world we live in of constant immersion).
If you're reading this, do yourself a favor and without delay book an appointment now and don't push trying it off to another day. You owe it to yourself to give...
Read moreI had my first float on the 13th and it was amazing (im putting in my review now because I just put in another appointment to go again).
I forgot her name, but the staff member who helped me out was very attentive and walked through the process in a very easy to understand way and while I was a little nervous with the process, her walkthrough made it a lot easier. The float itself was super relaxing! I can’t really describe what my mind was going through; I was immensely bored but not an unbearable type of bored, if that makes sense, it was a serene type of boredom and I felt like my mind was going thru thoughts one step at a time as opposed to having my brain be bombarded with a bunch of random thoughts (i mean this in a very very good way if im not being clear enough; i am a very very anxious person haha). For the most part, my mind felt at ease and definitely enjoyed it!
Any “con” i had was on my end but for just some things to look out for, I would reccommend drinking water beforehand so you dont start to feel a lil lightheaded mid session. I had to get up and open the tank for a bit to get some air tho ideally I just wanted to spend the entire session in the tank. It was mentioned in the email to drink water beforehand so take that seriously! While its common sense to not rub your eye w a hand coated in salt water, I lightly scratched my nose and some of it dripped into my nostril, leaving a stinging sensation for a minute or two so yeah you REALLY dont want the saltwater on your fact haha! Thankfully they had a spraybottle of freshwater in the pod so I just used that to clean any saltwater on my face with a towel.
I still need to get used to it but im SO okay w that because I rlly enjoyed the experience and am so down to do it again and again. I have severe GAD and this one session quieted my mind for a whole week like I 100% recommend as long as you go in with...
Read moreSo I’m going to be a bit critical but I’ll start with what I liked. The customer service was good and the float specialist was very informative and sweet. She answered all of my questions and I was able to get the most time possible out of my float. The negative side of my visit started with parking. I will most likely use street parking in the future and just walk because the garage they have free parking in is a tight fit even for small cars. It took me ten minutes to wiggle into a space. I drive a Mazda3 for context. Second thing was the room itself. I’ve been to a lot of float spas and the cabin is usually the most ambient experience. This room was drab and unfinished. The shower wasn’t separated from the rest of the room. It’s literally bare necessities as far as decor and very open which makes the shower feel even more exposed. It reminded me of a prison shower or a shower in the military. One of which I’ve experienced, but I assume the other is similar, at least from what I’ve seen in movies. Anyway the final piece I’ll mention is the float itself… ideally a float is completely sensory blind for the best experience. I prefer silence and dark. I tried silence but since this place is in a busy building I could hear doors slamming and things being shuffled around while I was in my float and through my ear plugs. So I tried to turn on the ambient music to drown that out and the music button didn’t work. So I had to focus extra hard to not be distracted from my experience. I did a two hour float and like I said the customer service was great but I’m going to keep shopping for a better place to get a membership to make floats a bigger part of my self care routine. Preferably somewhere with an enclosed shower at least so I don’t get a...
