Worst experience ever in Big Bear! I’ve been on 6 trips to Big Bear in the last 2 years. I’ve met some of the best people and staff but the “manager” (butchy lady with tattoos) at this theater is the most rudest and unprofessional person I’ve ever encountered. We wanted to buy tickets for a movie. We were there at 11:40ish trying to buy tickets, movie started at 12:15. The shade in the window was a little raised so I knocked thinking they didn’t see us. They literally just slammed shut the shade without saying anything. The door was open, so my partner stepped in to ask if it was open for today and that “woman” had the worst attitude, she was miserable and extremely unprofessional. She said there was a sign that said the movie sells tickets 30 minutes before showtime. The sign was so tiny. I would own up to my mistake of not seeing the sign but the way she behaved was unnecessary and rude. After going to the Teddy Bear Restaurant across the street, where the staff was wonderful and amazing, this experience...
Read moreWife and I went there on a Tuesday evening. We didn't know but kind of scored that the ticket is extra cheap at $5 per ticket. I couldn't quite believe it. They have quite some selections at the concession stand and there were also specials as well; such as hot dog for $1 or buy 2 pop corn and get 1 free. I'm used to the really-expensive-rip-off from the big cities so the prices are major plus here. The theater itself has 2 screens. The seats are quite comfortable but not the electric recliner type. The cleaning that day was lacking - but I was not certain if it was because it was a holiday. Anyhow, it was a nice and cozy place. And if I'm in town again and there is a movie I want to watch, I would definitely...
Read moreWent to see a movie here this last weekend and this place really has the small theater vibe. Have to get here early before movie so you can get better seating as it is first come first serve seating. You nearly have to crawl over someone just to get to an open seat if you arrive late however once seated the seats are very comfortable. Prices are reasonable compared to larger theaters and the staff was very friendly. I am hearing impaired and having to need to use closed caption devices when I go to the movies and I was very impressed that they had devices for use here. I was disappointed that I have to leave my license with them in order to get one to use but over all a good theater in a small...
