I am writing this review with extreme frustration after a horrific experience at Breckenridge Ski Resort. What should have been an enjoyable family ski trip turned into a nightmare of poor management and abysmal customer service.
The most glaring issue is the resort's complete failure to manage lift lines. The Breckenridge Gondola was a prime example of total chaos. Despite having a clearly defined queue that took 20 minutes to navigate, line-cutting was rampant and unchecked. When I approached two male employees whose explicit job is to maintain order, they were shockingly indifferent. Not only did they do nothing to prevent people from cutting in line, but they also treated my legitimate complaint with utter contempt.
My attempts to address the situation only met with more disappointment. When I tried to bring the line-cutting issue to the attention of additional staff while boarding the gondola, I was met with nothing short of rudeness. The employees didn't just ignore my concerns - they actively dismissed me, telling me to "go away" when I was simply trying to highlight a serious problem with their line management.
As long-time EPIC pass holders, we have supported this resort for many years. However, this experience has definitively ended our loyalty. Read moreCame here with my family and enjoyed the views, and the gondola, the staff was nice at the bottom end but once we reached the top to the park, we asked one staff member a simple question, “excuse me the gondola was free, are the lifts to get higher to the top free or does that cost” the absolute unprofessional staff member responded with, “well unless you want to walk up there you have to ride the lifts, I assume you don’t want to walk up there” which we responded with “we’re not from here we don’t know, does it cost?” Her response “everything in this park is going to cost you, nothin is free here” proceeded to give us the list of prices and had the nerve to say “I’m happy to answer any questions” before we even got another word out she just walked off.. didn’t even give us a chance to ask anything else.. very unprofessional and expected more from a place whose prices are higher than the altitude.. didn’t spend a dime here and WILL NOT bother...
