Northside Pizza & Wings in Breckenridge deserves every bit of its reputation as one of the town’s most reliable and satisfying food spots. After a day on the slopes or just exploring the mountain town, this is exactly the kind of place you want to walk into — casual, lively, filled with locals and visitors alike, and serving food that hits the spot in every possible way.
First off, the pizza is phenomenal. The crust has that perfect balance between chewy and crisp, with enough sturdiness to hold up all the toppings without ever feeling heavy or greasy. You can tell the dough is made fresh and treated with care — it has that slight sourdough tang and bakes up golden brown with little bubbles that give each bite character. The sauce leans toward the classic, tomato-forward side with just enough seasoning to make it flavorful without overpowering the cheese. And speaking of cheese, they don’t skimp — it’s the real deal, gooey, stretchy, with that satisfying melt and a hint of caramelization around the edges. Whether you’re building your own or going with one of their house specialty pies, you can’t really go wrong here. My personal favorite was the “Meat Lovers” style, loaded edge-to-edge with pepperoni, sausage, and bacon, each bite delivering that perfect salty, savory punch.
But the wings might be the real star — crispy on the outside, juicy inside, with a huge variety of sauces and dry rubs to choose from. The hot buffalo has the right kick without being overwhelming, while the garlic parmesan is rich, buttery, and addictive. They even nail the ranch and blue cheese dressings, which taste homemade and creamy instead of the generic bottled stuff you find at other spots. Pairing wings with a cold Colorado beer from their tap list is one of the simplest but most satisfying après-ski rituals you can have in Breckenridge.
The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for in a mountain town pizzeria. It’s unpretentious, welcoming, and filled with energy, especially when there’s a game on. TVs are well-placed without feeling overbearing, so you can catch football or hockey while still being able to carry on a conversation. There’s a mix of bar seating, tables for groups, and a relaxed vibe that makes it work whether you’re coming in with friends, family, or even solo after a long day. The staff really seal the deal — they’re genuinely friendly, quick with recommendations, and keep the drinks flowing without making you feel rushed. Even on busy nights, they handle the crowds with ease and a smile.
On top of all that, value is strong considering the location. Breckenridge can be pricey, but Northside manages to keep things reasonable without cutting corners on quality or portion size. You leave full, happy, and already thinking about your next visit.
In a town filled with dining options, Northside Pizza stands out as that perfect combination of great food, welcoming atmosphere, and consistent service. Whether you’re craving a late-night slice, wings and beers with friends, or just a hearty, satisfying meal after adventuring in the Rockies, this place delivers every single time.

Read moreAvoid this TOURIST TRAP. Our delivery was supposed to take an hour. We called the restaurant when we still hadn't gotten the order after an hour and a half, and we were told that the orders in the kitchen were all messed up, but that we'd get our order soon. We got our food 15 minutes later, and all of the food was cold. Even worse, the pizza order was wrong. The poor delivery guy said that the kitchen didn't even give him a ticket number. The pizza had jalapeños all over it, so the kids wouldn't eat it. The delivery guy took it back and said that he would bring us the cheese pizza that we ordered. (Which never came.)
We called the restaurant and were told that we would be refunded for the pizza, but not for the items that arrived cold. We asked if we could speak with a manager, but the woman on the phone refused and eventually hung up on us.
We called again and the person who answered claimed to be a manager, but wouldn't give his name. He told us that we can't complain because we've never worked in the restaurant industry, that we were lying about being told that the delivery would take an hour, and refused to refund us for anything but the pizza. When we said that we might call our credit card company to cancel payment he told us to "f* off" and hung up on us.
Two days later and the WHOLE amount of the order showed up on the credit card, including the cost of the pizza. The pizza guy never showed up with the right pizza order, and they still charged us for it. That is theft.
These people are dishonest, hostile, and completely inept. They clearly don't know how to run a kitchen or treat their customers, and are probably just floating by because they can take advantage of the ignorance of tourists since they're right on Main Street. On the bright side my...
Read moreSo...this is the first review I've ever done for a restaurant. I've lived in Breck long enough to hear many terrible stories about Northside. Fortunately, that never happened to me until yesterday. It happens to my one friend literally every time he goes there. You place an order for pick up...they say it will be a 1/2 hr. You show up. They say "its in the oven and will be out in like 3 minutes". Well, MAYBE after 30 minutes of sitting there and not hearing another word from the person behind the bar...you get your food. Usually they've screwed something up....sometimes the size of the pie and if you order wings 50% of the time aren't the right flavor. If it's busy...this wait time can be even longer. They obviously forgot about it and had to put the order in after I arrived to pick it up. This happens to my friends all the time... It's a pizza shop.....I get it. You can take shots, drink beer, and smoke and no one cares...but if you can't maintain a functional business, maybe something needs to change in the back. The food is good, but I'll never go back after this. I know at least 10 people that feel the same way. Sorry to put you down Northside but figure it out and then maybe locals that aren't your friends and don't get VIP service will come back. I normally give places 2nd chances because we all have our off nights, but this happens entirely too frequently. Any other pizza shop in town can at least get you your food on time....I'll go there...
