Strange experience at Daylight Donuts this morning, so I wanted to share.
I rolled in around 10:30 am to grab some breakfast solo. It was pretty slow and there were probably around half of the tables open. I sat down and was immediately approached by an employee who told me that I needed to order at the counter.
I got up to go to the counter and the employee told me that I couldn't leave my gloves and phone at the table because they don't allow people to save tables. I was at a table that was surrounded by four other empty tables with three people standing at the counter in a half empty restaurant.
I was a bit confused by the comment and was like, "seriously?" Yes, she was very serious. I mean, I get it if that was the only open table and there was a line of people out the door. That would've made sense. But, I just kinda felt like I was being hassled for no real reason.
Needless to say, I left and went to have breakfast at Semplice Cafe just a few doors down and it was delightful. Check it out if you're looking for a good...

All the license plates, signed dollar bills, and notes left from patrons give this place a very well traveled and respected vibe. Even if you order nothing from here, it's worth stepping in to gawk at just to see all the places people have come from.
You can easily grab a couple donuts and a drip coffee from here for $10, so if you're on a tight budget take note. Keep in mind though that they have a $10 minimum for all card purchases.
The staff is really friendly, and knowledgeable about the area. I can't remember her name but I think she's the owner, she's there every day, she has a lot of stories to tell about Breck and Summit County.
There is free parking behind the store but it is limited, and will fill up quickly most days. So try to get there before 8 am if you plan on driving there. They are pretty close to the bottom gondola station, if you are staying at the resorts on the mountain or are planning on heading up for a...

First time in Breckenridge and heard great things about this establishment and was so excited to try it with my friends. Not even a couple minutes into walking into the establishment the manager/server began yelling and harassing my friends for sitting down at a table without ordering. From being a part owner of a restaurant and working in the food service industry for over 10 years ive never seen worst customer service. After yelling at us after only being in the place for 2 minutes another employee yelled out "they are entitled kids". If you are new to this area or here for a holiday find someone where else to spend your money on breakfast.
If the owner or general manager would like to speak to me more about the experience I would be happy to speak to them anytime and let them know about our...
