Fun fact about me. My first job was at a movie theater. It was one of the first megaplexes in Southern California. I worked ticket drop, concession stand, cleaning restrooms, and as a projectionist. I did everything except box office. Maybe I'm picky with movie theaters.
I went to see Terrifier 3 today. I ordered my ticket online so I did not get to experience the box office here. The ticket drop person was downright unfriendly. All but one person at the concession stand looked like they'd rather be anywhere else other than this theater. That one person was actually very friendly. Concession prices were decent for today. The restroom looked like it had not been cleaned all week which is especially obvious when it's a weekday and still slow and there's trash everywhere. The theater itself seemed clean, although I know all the tricks of how to "clean" theaters quickly and where they hide the trash, but since it was dark in there I didn't get a chance to really look under the seats. One of the big selling points of theaters nowadays is recliner seating and this theater has it. The only problem with this is the seats are completely peeling in every spot that the human body makes significant contact with them. It looks terrible. I'm not really sure if it's gross, but it looks bad. Also, the movie seemed to be slightly out of focus the whole time. Lastly, on my way to my car in the parking lot, I noticed that the exterior "artwork" on the walls of the building was completely peeling to the point that you couldn't even tell what they once were.
I think you can guess that I won't be back here again. The only reason I came here was because the showtime worked well for me. I remember when the theater was new beautiful and it's sad to see it like this. I know going to the movies is not as popular as it once was but try to put a little money back into the...
Read moreDuring the movie the sound quality and picture were quite nice. No complaints there. During the trailers the theater lights were on and quite bright. Seats reclined but kind of forced your head forward and they were coming apart on the seat and back area. Also, it was very hot in the theatre. I didn't notice much selection at the concession stand and the coffee they offered and provided my wife was from a keurig which is wasteful and cheap. At least go with Nespresso, their pods are recyclable. Lastly the bathrooms were outdated , smell of urine and dirty. This theater definitely needs a revamp, updating and rethinking of the movie going experience. There was as a lot of "glitz and glamor" upon entering the theater, but behind that façade, it was pretty dumpy. I would never go back to this theater. Krikorian needs to offer a better value and experience for our money if they want to stay...
Read moreThis place was beautiful! We wanted to watch a movie for Christmas and do something different. We found this movie theater when we were looking up theaters near us and figured we would go. I am so glad we picked this one to take the kids to for our Christmas movie! We walked in and it was so beautiful and clean. The only I wished it did was serve adult beverages and had the heat going on a very cold Christmas Eve and it would have been perfect. The movie theaters were huge and you have to select your specific seats when you get your tickets because when you walk in your seats are very nice size electric recliners for each person with a little table to hold your food and drinks. It seems like it used to be a full service theater and maybe stopped at some point but we loved it and the kids were very happy! Definitely will go back to enjoy another movie when we come back and looking for...
