Clearwater Island Boat Tours — Attraction in Clearwater

Our 4 hour boat tour with Captain Brian was the highlight of our Clearwater Girls trip!! He was full of fun facts while we cruised along taking in the most gorgeous scenery. We went to 3 different locations - an island, a spot looking for dolphins and a sand bar. All of them were fantastic. Our group consisted of ages 13-60 and we ALL had the time of our lives (which says a lot because a 13 yr old is hard to please sometimes. 😂) soaking up the sun, laughing, making memories in locations you could only get to on a boat! Captain Brian was so accommodating. I told him the teenager wanted a video jumping into the crystal clear water and he made it happened! I forgot to put our snacks in the cooler so I called him while we were browsing for shells on the island and he took care of it! Speaking of shells - we found some amazing shells at the island including a full size sand dollar!! Captain Matt was so helpful as well. The website was having some issues accepting my payment so I called and left a message. Matt called me back within a few minutes and made sure we got it all taken care of. Great communication via text and calls! We ended up seeing Captain Matt out on the water and he captured a great picture of us on the boat and texted it to me. We met with Matt before making our way to the dock - really friendly and welcoming. Captain Jerry was awaiting when we arrived and having loaded the cooler with our food and drink we set off for what was a fantastic day out on the pontoon boat. Jerry asked us if we had any ideas of what we wanted, we didn't, so left it totally to Jerry and he didn't dissapoint. We made our way over the water to Caladesi Island - beautiful stretch of sand where we hunted for shells whilst dipping our feet in the warm water. From there we made our way across to Honeymoon Island, seeing the change in landscape which Jerry explained to us from when the Hurricane hit. Beautiful pools of water and more beautiful shoreline - this was really lovely, especially as it was our 17th wedding anniversary, so to be together with the kids was special. Captain Jerry left the best for last, taking us out past Carlouel Yacht Club and showing us where to hop through the bushes to get over to the top of North Clearwater Beach - absolutely stunning place to swim. We booked direct online, did the 4hr option which was perfect for us - personally I would have been dissapointed if we had gone for less time such was the beauty and enjoyment. Our experience was quite dreamy. Captain Matt was awesome. We booked a 3-hour private boat tour. He provided cold water, ice chest with plenty of ice for our drinks and snorkel gear.

He took us to Caladesi Island where we snorkeled for a great amount of time. It was pretty much up to us when we wanted to hop back on the boat. We wandered the island for some time. It felt like a private island for us. The water was dreamy and crystal clear.

During our boat ride we spotted multiple dolphins, it was amazing. He knew how special that moment was for us and even went around so we can have a better look.

The boat ride was very relaxing. Although our time was coming up to an end, he didn’t budge to take us to an another spot (forgot the name) that was pretty popular around the area and allowed my husband to get in the water once again. That was such a nice gesture.

Needless to say, he was amazing. I really enjoyed everything about this tour. The boat ride was completely comfortable and affordable!!! Everyone was charging $200 a hour which was outrageous for us. He only charged $100 a hour, which means we got double the time which was really fair for a private charter.
