Bath & Body Works — Attraction in Columbus

Had a horrible experience at this store tonight due to one nasty associate. I was looking for a gift for my grandmother and found a cute glitter bag holding 4 items in a thin plastic gift bag tied with a ribbon. I went to check-out and this heavy-set older black lady with blondish short hair (didn't get a name) told me that I wasn't allowed to have that since it was display only (where's the sign saying that?!?!?) and had to pick up all the pieces separately. I was confused since the glitter bag had a price tag on it and all the other items inside were obviously for sale as well, but I didn't argue, and I started to pick up the separate pieces that I would now have to make presentable as a gift myself. As I did so, I apologized for being there a bit late. I noticed the music had shut off and I realized that there were more than one bath and body works at Easton with later Christmas hours, but I went to the wrong one. I told her that I was sorry and didn't realize they were closing earlier, and then she replied with The BIGGEST attitude that they have ALWAYS closed at 9 and she said this as she walked away from me, still ranting. I was nothing but nice to her and she was so incredibly rude, and had an obvious chip on her shoulder about something. I was shocked at how horrible her customer service was and decided to leave without purchasing anything, which is probably what she wanted anyway. I hope she's a seasonal, because I can only imagine how many people she upsets on a daily basis. I will be getting my Christmas shopping done elsewhere, and I am forwarding this message to corporate. This is unacceptable to treat customers this way when they're spending their hard-earned dollars...

If i could give this store zero stars i would, but it would not be because of the employees but simply because of the manager who runs this store which i believe her name is Carson. When i first walked in I was NOT greeted by anyone, they did not ask me if I needed help & when I went to check out at the register the person checking me out (Carson) was acting as if it was an inconvenience to do so & ordered one of her employees in the rudest tone to do it for her. When I asked to speak to a manager because i wanted to address this behavior, Carson then told me that she IS the manager. I do not understand how someone as a manager can act this way toward their employees and how she was ever promoted to run a store especially with her nasty attitude. This disgusts me & i will never be visiting this Bath & Body Works EVER again. Great for product but low staff or poor scheduling apparently ! I was in this evening around 3ish and my check out experience was prolonged they need to open more registers in the store that way if someone is in a rush they wont be backed up in a long line of people especially when big sales are involved any OTHER bath and body works i go to have a couple registers open for a faster checkout experience however I will NOT be spending my money in this location anymore. I prefer the Polaris location the store manager there gets the JOB done, Sorry to say this one not so much .
