SMARTSTYLE — Attraction in Columbus

I went today because my mother was interested in getting a haircut. It was around 9:10 a.m., but the place looked like it was still in the process of opening. I respectfully asked the only employee there at the time—an African American woman in her 40s or 50s—if the salon was open.

She didn’t even let me finish speaking. With a very rude attitude, she said, “I don’t have time to talk, I have things to do. I don’t have any time to talk,” then closed the gate in my face and walked off toward the Walmart Money Center with a bunch of coins in her hands.

I was honestly speechless. I guess speaking to a potential customer was a waste of time for her.

With that kind of attitude, this place is a definite no for me. I’ll take my business somewhere that actually values...

Today was my first time visiting this Smartstyle Salon and its was an AWESOME experience. Dashana was not only my stylist but she is also the manager. She is definitely leading by example as she was training a new stylist (She was nice and happy too) at the time of my visit. I love her positive energy and very pleasant demeanor my entire visit. She provided a safe and vibrant atmosphere for me and I truly appreciate it. I was very pleased with my hair treatment from the beginning to the end. Beth has been doing my hair for years and ill continue to use her for years to come! She manages the Hilliard salon with professionalism and has created a "family like" culture. The shop is always clean and well organized. My only complaint, which is out of the managers control, is the shops temperature in the winter. Since it's close to the Walmart entrance it gets incredibly cold. This is uncomfortable for both the guests and salon staff. They've somewhat resolved this issue with a plethora of space heaters. It has never stopped me from getting my haircut, but it's worth mentioning if corporate reads these reviews. I would recommend Beth and this location to friends, family or anyone...
