This hotel was great! We arrived a day early of our booking because we had to be up early the next morning for work and had a long drive to get there. Didn't want to have to get up super early and drive, check into hotel, and make it to work all by 8am. Our room was already paid for by the company Mon-Thurs, so we thought we would get a room Sunday night and stay and pay for that night ourself. The lady at the front desk was super nice and accommodating (short, skinny black lady with bob length hair- I'm sorry, I don't remember your name). She said she was completely booked, but was able to get us a room anyway. We stayed in a 2 bed room that night, since it was only thing she could get us. The beds were super hard. No give at all, and we couldn't sleep good. The room was clean however, nice, and had a nice bathroom with tub on the 1st floor. Room 111. The next morning after my husband left for work, around 11am, the nice lady called my room and said the other room was ready, so I changed to the room that was booked for us. Actually, it was a handicap room (not sure why it was booked for that), but she put us in another room on the 1st floor with a King bed instead. Room 117. Upon opening the door and going inside, I immediately went back to the front desk and switched rooms because it REAKED of fresh cigarette smoke. š¬ I can't handle smoke. It's a non-smoking room and someone smoked in there anyway. The room was cleaned, so if it wasn't a guest, it had to be whoever cleans the rooms because it was FRESH and about knocked me over with the smell. She apologized and kindly changed us to a room with a King bed on the 3rd floor. Room 308. Room was nice, acceptable, looked clean, bed was much softer (slept way better), had a walk in shower and nice bathroom and kitchen area with fridge, microwave and coffee. I was in the room the entire stay, except to go eat. My only complaints about that room was I saw 2 small black roach bugs. 1 on the door that I was unable to kill or take a pic of bc it scurried out the Crack, and 1 in the bathroom floor. This could have been the same one for all I know, but I killed it. I noticed that the next day of being in the room. The other would be that no one cleans behind anything so it gets dusty. Next, the air conditioner would NOT go off auto. It was annoying because it kept cutting on and off and if I was asleep it would wake me up. During the day if it was on 60, it would feel like 60 and get very cold in there and didnt cut off much, which we like. At night, it's like the hotel governs how low it goes, because it felt like it was in the 70s, hot, and constantly cut on and off. The display unit on the wall won't go past 65, the air conditioner won't go below 60 and both are connected together. Also, I tried to use the bottom drawers on the dresser and they would not open. Closed shut. Everyday I was kindly asked if I needed anything from house keeping and I changed out what I needed. The rooms seem very quiet. I hardly heard anyone from surrounding rooms unless it was someone going in or out of their room or house keeping cleaning, but I did hear a lot of LOUD traffic from IN the parking lot and the road behind the hotel all day from early morning until around 10pm, but wasn't too bad at all at night. The hotel has free breakfast, wifi, parking, and printer usage. Breakfast wasn't good at all and not much of a selection. I only tried it 2xs. I just ate what I kept in my room througout the day until dinner time when we went out to eat. Printer is little aggravating to use. I liked the fact that I could walk a very short distance to and from either Outback and Cracker Barrel Restaurants or take a short drive to surrounding ones. There are PLENTY of nearby restaurants and shopping and his work for the week was just a 6 min drive away. I was kindly allowed to stay till 1pm checkout instead of 12 since my husband couldnt leave work until 1 the day we left. Overall, the hotel is nice, staff is friendly, rooms are nice, and I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreHorrible customer service and the rooms and so-called hot breakfast are not as advertised. I could go on with numerous maintenance and sanitation issues. Needless to say, this is a below average hotel that does not deserve a rating.
This is in response to the manager's response to my complaints:
I will be contacting you, which I had intended to do before I read your response.
The next evening I checked at the front desk to make sure that I would receive my free night compensation. I was informed that the matter was not resolved and that they needed to re-swipe my card and then give me a discount. Reluctantly, I agreed and expressed my objection and again showed the clerks that my card had been charged. They swiped my card adding an additional 3 charges!
With regards to the breakfast, it consisted of bagels, muffins, and bread, and coffee. Nothing hot as we were told would be prepared.
Maintenance issues that I did report were the loose sink faucet, scuff marks on the floor, and there was no iron in the room. The very nice young Lady who initially checked us in did bring us an iron. She was busy cleaning and doing numerous other chores which I mentioned to my wife seem to indicate that the hotel was understaffed. She was the only bright spot that I could find with our stay. I also mentioned our disenchantment to her in that she was busy as usual when she checked us out Monday morning, two days after our arrival.
Additional maintenance issues included loss of internet services. The desk clerk who swiped my card the second time responded to our complaint and came down to determine if I was using the correct login procedure, which I assured her I was prior to her coming to our room.
The problem was more extensive. I have a degree in computer science and recognized that this was symptomatic of a more serious problem. Ultimately she put me in contact with the IT person who kindly restored service to my laptop but was unable to bypass certain protocols for our other devices.
After our room was cleaned and we returned on the first day of our stay, my wife and I were overcome by a very strong and unpleasant odor from whatever was used for cleaning. Additionally, scuffs remained on the hardwood floors and used towels and washcloths were removed and no replacement towels and washcloths were replaced. Again, a night desk clerk, the same lady who attempted to repair our WiFi had to bringus a fresh supply of towels.
We were extremely relieved when we left for our next stop in Florence, SC where we stayed at the Residence Inn, Marriott. There we had a great night's sleep, beautiful suite, a complimentary manager reception that evening, a delicious hot complimentary breakfast and a wonderful and competent staff.
I will also fax or attach a copy of the screen shot that I took of all the charges that were made to...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI am writing to express my deep dissatisfaction with the quality of service I experienced during my recent stay at the La Quinta Inn located at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta in Conyers. Unfortunately, my stay was marred by a series of significant inconveniences and disappointments that I feel compelled to bring to your attention. First and foremost, upon checking into my room, I encountered an issue with the key card not working. This happened not once, but on three separate occasions. The inconvenience of having to return to the front desk multiple times after a long journey was highly frustrating and unacceptable. It is essential for a hotel to ensure that guests have seamless access to their rooms, and this experience fell far short of that expectation.
Furthermore, the condition of the room itself was unsatisfactory. In the second room I was given, the sheets on the bed next to the bathroom appeared to have been slept in. The rumpled and creased sheets clearly indicated that they had not been changed since the previous guest's departure. This lack of attention to detail and cleanliness is both unhygienic and unprofessional. I then decided to sleep in the bed closest to the window. To compound matters, the sheets on the alternative bed were found to be dirty, covered in hairs that clearly did not belong to me and makeup was on the sheets. This is simply unacceptable, as it suggests a lack of proper cleaning and preparation before assigning the room to a new guest. Clean and fresh bedding is a basic expectation for any hotel, and it was disappointing to see such a glaring oversight.
However, the most egregious incident occurred when I was finally assigned a room in which someone was already staying. The embarrassment and intrusion that ensued when I inadvertently walked into an occupied room was deeply distressing for myself. This lack of proper room management and double-booking is a fundamental failure that should never occur in a professional establishment like yours.
When I was assigned the 4th room, I inadvertently locked myself out of the room while making the switch. I went downstairs to get the key. I was surprised to learn from the security guard that the person working the front desk left in a car with his coworker and was NO LONGER on site, but should be back soon. I waited for about 30 minutes. By the time I got back to the room, it was after 1am.
In the morning I asked for a late check out to compensate for this extreme inconvenience and I was told the latest I would check out was 12 and anything after would cost me $25. I would like to further share that after I checked out, two of my friends checked in.
They experienced the following: Toilets that did not flush Mattress soaked in urine
I must emphasize that my experience at the La Quinta Inn has left me feeling extremely dissatisfied and inconvenienced. I had chosen your hotel with the expectation of a comfortable and pleasant stay, but instead, I was met with multiple instances of poor service, unclean accommodations, and a complete lack of professionalism.
I trust that you will give my concerns the attention they deserve and take prompt action to resolve these issues. It is my sincere hope that you will use this incident as an opportunity to improve your services and ensure that other guests do not have to endure similar experiences...
