BEWARE!!! This company is TERRIBLE. Below is an account of the atrocious customer service I received last weekend. My boyfriend booked us a cooking class as a surprise for me last Friday, August 23rd in Dallas. I didn't find out about the class until the middle of that day. Unfortunately I came down with a 102 fever and simulatneously started my period. I have endometriosis as well as a blood disorder called Factor V Leiden which makes the first 48 hours especially excruciating, I sometimes even have to go to the hospital. There was clearly no way I'd be able to physically or safely attend the class by the time I'd found out about it. My boyfriend is an attorney and was leading a deposition so I called on his behalf to try and cancel for a credit (did not even try to get a refund), especially because we really would've liked to take the class in the future. I spoke with two different associates, one of which was supposedly a supervisor, who was extremely rude and unwilling to work with us. There was zero sympathy for our situation. She offered no solution and basically said "too bad". So in an effort not to burn $200, I told her she was giving me no choice but to go and I was APPAULED by her response - she didn't care one single bit that I would be subjecting all the other guests, including one of your chefs, to my extreme fever. As a company, you should be absolutely ashamed of yourselves, especially with Covid coming back around. This is completely unacceptable and a gross display of customer service, or lack there of. No concern whatsoever for the wellbeing of...
Read moreI attended Cozymeal's first cooking class in Dallas on November 2, 2017 with Chef JD of Salt & Pepper Catering – and it was great fun! This was my first cooking class ever – I imagined it would be each person at a table following a recipe step-by-step, taking all night. But it wasn't that all – it was a perfect combination of learning, entertainment, enjoying a delicious meal with great company, all in about two hours.
We made an exquisite three-course Italian dinner from scratch: salad with roasted baby carrots, arugula, candied walnuts, sherry gastrique, and mustard vinaigrette; fettucine bolognese (fun making the pasta!) with home-made ricotta cheese; and chocolate budino covered in chocolate ganache. Every dish was so tasty and memorable – we’re excited to make these dishes at home!
Chef JD makes such delicious food, has such an amazing personality, and is so welcoming, knowledgeable, and fun – he should really have his own show on the Food Network! Kudos also to assistant Gustavo – many thanks!
Definitely book an experience with Cozymeal for yourself and your next...
Read moreThe experience my family had with chef Sharon was fabulous! My son, daughter, and I decided to attend her class on preparing fish after a friend had told us about their time making pizza with chef Sharon. She is friendly, is excited to share her knowledge of cooking, and sharing where her passion and recipes come from. Once all the participants arrive, Chef Sharon explains the whole process of the evening from what we are making (we all left with the recipes), how our stations are set up, best knives and processes to use to cut the different types of fish, and how all the ingredients will interact with each other. We smelled and tasted everything as we went along to help us understand what each ingredient’s role was, and there was a table set for us so we could enjoy all the dishes after we made them. Chef Sharon makes sure all the cutting areas and utensils are clean as we move through evening and is a perfect hostess. I highly recommend chef Sharon and look forward to another...
