The venue is absolutely beautiful - we had a fabulous wedding reception in the space, and were able to take stunning pictures in the sanctuary and patio overlooking the Denver skyline. Our guests loved the historical feel of the unique space.
With that being said, we struggled communicating with the staff throughout the planning process. From a "no-show" at the first scheduled tour, to unresponsiveness in emails and phone calls, we had a difficult time reaching the team from start to end. When emailing the Kirk staff, it was often unclear who we were working with, and responses came late or incompletely answered. The offered tour and walk-through hours are difficult to accommodate with a typical work schedule. We were not provided any call information for the Kirk day-of representative, who unfortunately was not the same person we had worked with during other points in the process. Because of this, the representative was unable to answer any questions we had when we arrived at the venue before our grand entrance and could not offer support to our other vendors. Even some of our bridal party noticed and commented on the disorganization before our entrance.
Overall, the venue itself is incredible, but we struggled with communication and...
Read moreOct 2024: Our Candlelight Concert of horror movie soundtracks was everything I could have asked for and more. Incredible music, beautiful venue, great wine. An hour was the perfect length of time as well. Canât wait for our next Candlelight Concert!
Edit #1 (Nov 2024): Adding a photo from the Bridgerton Candlelight Concert that I went to last night. It was even more stunning with flowers added among all the candles!
Edit #2 (Jan 2025): We've now been to five Candlelight Concerts, four of which have been at the Kirk of Highland: Horror Movie Soundtracks, Bridgerton, Christmas Classics, and Rings & Dragons (Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones music). We saw the Hans Zimmer concert at Trinity Methodist Church. Each concert has been a wonderful experience, and Kirk of Highland remains my favorite venue as it feels more intimate than Trinity. (Also, Trinity didn't have wine -- not sure if that was a one-time thing or always the case.) I'd say Rings & Dragons and Hans Zimmer are tied as my favorite...
Read moreAmazing venue in a great location! We recently had our wedding there, and it was truly a dream. It is a hidden gem, in such a fun neighborhood. Many restaurants and bars within walking distance, hotels & airbnb/vrbo's close by which made it convenient for all of our guests. This venue is very well managed. There's options for a ceremony indoors (church) or outdoors (patio) and the reception area is very well done. The stained glass is beautiful, along with the beautiful brick on the outside & views of the Denver skyline - makes for some beautiful pictures. The bridal/groomsman suites are an added bonus too. I would highly recommend this venue to any bride. Our day went by very smoothly thanks to the venue managers and...
