Sail Away Destin — Attraction in Destin

We had a fantastic evening last night! My brother-in-law booked us a sunset cruise with Bryan and it really made our last night of vacation wonderful. He cruised our group of 6 (my mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, my fiance and my son) through the harbor and into the gulf. There was plenty of space for all of us to relax and take in the sights. We got to see dolphins and enjoyed a wonderful relaxing ride in his pontoon through the waterways as the sun went down through the clouds. He was so nice, easy going, and knowledgeable about the area. We chose to stay in the boat but he offered to let us get out in the crab island area or get into some snorkeling if we had decided to. He gave us the downlow on the best local spots to eat and taught us about how Destin has grown and developed over the years. We'd definitely recommend him to anyone wanting a more laid back, low key, personalized ride around the Destin area....

We took a sunset cruise November 13th 2024. Our group included my 97 year old grandmother. Captain Brian met us at the steps and offered to help her get down and on the boat. From that moment on the cruise was perfect. It was like taking a cruise with a local historian, who also knows every birds species, all the history, and gave us a real sense of the old harbor, and a vision of what's in the future. Dolphins......Captain Brian has some kind of magic in his blood. We saw more dolphins, sometimes withing inches of the boat, than I have seen in my combined lifetime. Prices are very reasonable. Altho the website clearly states it, don't forget to bring your favorite drinks, beer or wine. A large cooler full of ice is provided. PRO TIP. The wind can make a cool outing mid November. Bring a jacket or blanket, otherwise grandma will end up wearing the Captains...

Hands down the most amazing thing we have ever done! So much better than loading up on a boat with a bunch of strangers. This was so personal since he was able to make everyone of us happy. Sharks, Dolphins, Manta ray diving out of the ocean, snorkeling and shell collecting. There was 6 of us including my mother and her sister. One has had surgery on both knees and hip. She was still able to get out of the boat to snorkel and collect shells. We were a little worried about her being able to participate but there was nothing to worry about. Definitely a bucket list must!! Our Captain, Captain Bryan was amazing and has a great sense of humor! Best price too when you compare to the big boat!!
