I know about this place because I spent time volunteering here in high school to keep it clean and tidy and knew I always wanted to bring my kids here one day. I never got to enjoy it as a child though; my parents never knew about it to take me!
Every year that we come back to town to visit my family, I make sure to bring my kids here and they always have an amazing time. For how long it's been around, it's heart warming to see it's still well maintained and such an important, educational, and accessible treasure for all kids of Fayetteville.
This time I signed one of my sons up for their off-school day program for kids on President's Day. My son is in kindergarten. When I told him he wouldn't be hanging out with me that day and instead would be going to Secret Agent Camp, he was sad. But when I picked him up from Secret Agent Camp, he was BEAMING. He had so much fun and couldn't wait to actually talk to us and tell us what he had done, show us the cool secret code he had written, and asked if he could go back again. I told him we had to drive home the next day so wouldn't be able to and he was SO disappointed and sad. He said he wished there was something like this where we live and asked if I could look into it.
Such a great and affordable resource, I hope every family in Fayetteville takes advantage of it for decades to come!! We'll always support...
Read moreFirst I like to say I am giving this place three stars because my kids had 2 hours of fun now when you go in there it's about 30 minutes of fun you would think but for a 3-year-old boy and a one year old boy it was 2 hours of non-stop play. My kids did not care that some of the toys needed a new paint job or some of the buildings needed a little work no no because their children and all they seen was toys and the amount of fun time they were going to have and that's all I can ask for especially when you're paying $3 per kid and $4 per adult now I don't care who you are fun that lasts for 2 hours for two kids that only cost $14 for me my husband are two boys that is amazing. On the drive home as soon as I put them in the back of my car they were asleep they had the times of their lives and they couldn't care less with the place look like as long as they got to play and that's all that mattered. My kids happiness is all that mattered. I will say that a lot of the employees would make roundabouts and they would clean some of the areas that the kids had played in like tidy them up. I wish they would disinfect the areas that they tidy up considering my kid put a lot in his mouth and I had to keep taking the stuff he was putting in his mouth to the front desk so their kids didn't get his germs I mean he's not sick or anything but still...
Read moreGreat place to take the little ones (age 8 and younger will enjoy the most). Every 4th Friday in downtown Fayetteville the museum is free with donation, also on Wednesdays during the day at a certain time. Not sure how often things are sanitized and cleaned and with it being flu season (and just with germs in general) I think this is a very important measure that must be taken daily. You child is guaranteed to spend 1-2 hours before leaving without putting up a fuss. Large facility. Want to have a Puppet show? Be a News Anchor on TV? Create you own play with costumes? Pretend your a firefighter? Drive a cop car or a ambulance? Want to be a teacher in the classroom? A doctor? A grocery store clerk? A judge? A post office worker? A construction worker? Or my kids favorite; A waiter and cook? Ever worked on a farm? Want to know what the military life is like? Want to be a dentist? Ok, that's pretty much everything...hope this helped someone. This place deserves all the praise, serves the upcoming leaders of our...
