Blondes is on the beach, right on A1A, just North of Los Olas Blvd in Ft Lauderdale. The front of the establishment has outdoor seating, as is common for this area of the Fort Lauderdale Strip!
There is ALWAYS music playing here. It may be hard rock, country, rap or anything else. Of course you can feed the juke box and play whatever you want to hear!
The first thing you see when you enter, is one of the longest bars you will ever encounter! Take a seat and order a drink! While this is not a typical "restaurant" setting there is a mini menu on the bar.
If you are hungry you can order a DELICIOUS 3/4 pound burger or Turkey Club Sandwich! Both come with curly fries and both cost only $7. Then there are chicken nuggets and mozzarella sticks and stuff like that. They have an extensive selection of beer as well.
The bartenders: AWESOME, Beautiful, friendly females, Christine, Britney, they ALL take good care of you and make sure you are happy! They do a GREAT job!
There are security guards at both the front and rear entrances. They seem to be there, more to keep minors out than to stop any trouble from occurring. In fact, out of the dozen, or so, times I've been there over the past few months I've encountered nothing but POLITE, respectful, friendly, FUN people, as well as really cool ladies! EVERYONE is there for the same reason: TO HAVE FUN!
MY FAVORITE part is the ARCADE or GAME ROOM in back. Theyre are pool tables scattered around, skee ball machines, basketball machines, dart boards, Pac Man, Air Hockey, pinball and many other fun games to play! There is also another bar in the back.
The crowd is a nice mix of visitors and locals, cool chicks and regulars who are typically friendly and respectful. Whether you're 21 or 81 you will find a great time at Blondes! The restrooms are clean and well kept up as well.
ATTIRE: Casual. With a capital "C". You can have lunch or dinner, play games and make friends in a business suit or a bathing suit!
Whether you want to mix it up with some fun ladies, shoot pool with a salty old dude at the back bar, make new friends or just have a good meal while you watch 17 different TV's at once, I give "Blondes" a SOLID 5 STARS across the board!
Note: the few negative reviews I've seen about this place seem to be about the bouncers. They have been nothing but nice and respectful to me and everyone there at the times I've gone. I guess at 2am if you dont get your way, ya blame it on the bouncers who were there watching your back all night, then trash the place with a one star review.
Make no mistake, this is a dive bar. But those guys keep it civil and safe for the same people who trash the place with...
Read moreTerrible experience. Holly was very rude. My wife and I came down from Amelia Island to Ft. Lauderdale for the Miami vs. Buffalo football game. Just parked our car one street over and walked to Blondies. The place was packed. You could see the bartenders were feeling the stress. I was standing at the bar for about 10 min and the guy next to me ( who is a regular there) told me I better speak up instead of waiting for acknowledgement from a bartender if I wanted a cocktail. That’s just not me to start waving my debit card or keep on saying “excuse me” (I’m 64) so I was just not brought up that way. I felt it’s disrespectful. So the guy next to me said “Holly, can you take this guys order ? He’s been waiting for awhile now and then laughed. She came up to me and took another guys order. Came back with his drinks and looked my way. I was starting to order when she told me to F-Off ! Then went on to take someone else’s order. I have no idea what that was about. Even the guy next to me was shocked. My wife said “did she just say that to you?” I barely got a word out for my order so I don’t know why that was said. I am not easily offended , so the word did not bother me. But, I was surprised that a supposed professional bartender representing that bar, would just snap and say that aloud. I really did nothing to warrant that remark. I didn’t even get a chance to tell her what My wife and I would like to drink. None the less, my wife and I stepped away from the bar and went somewhere else. First impressions are important. Apparently, Holly has issues of her own. I know losing my business will not hurt the bar by any means, but if she starts talking down to more people, it may. Sorry, but you lost any business I would give you. Holly, please...
Read moreCame here last night with my mother. Played pool in the back of the bar. Every time I wanted to order another round I had to wait for JESSICA the bartender to finish up her game of pool. Every single time. She was soooooo rude. My mother asked for a Captain and Diet with lime as she always orders. JESSICA insisted she ordered it with a lemon. She acted like a child arguing and shaking her head repeating "no you said lemon" over and over again. She really is the most useless waste of money this place has. Her job seriously needs to be given to somebody that needs it because she clearly does not. I will tell everyone I know not to ever come here. Update: I just called and asked to speak to Alex who is the gm here. A girl named NATALIE answered the phone. She said Alex is downstairs and is not allowed upstairs to take phone calls. I asked for someone else in charge. She told me that I have asked a 100 questions and if I don't answer hers I would speak to nobody then hung up on me. This place is as bad as it smells and I will be posting this review to every place I can. I will also be reporting them to the...
