Added note - The bad reviews on here are ppl who needed to have more coffee! I have maybe written 5 reviews in my life and Nanou is deserving of every word in this review.

A Parisian Paradise with Exceptional Service

My recent visits over the last few years to Nanou French Bakery (the one on E Las Olas Blvd, which is a 5 min walk from the beach), while visiting from MA was nothing short of a delightful journey to the heart of Paris. From the charming ambiance to the exquisite culinary creations, every aspect of the experience was simply superb. However, what truly elevated our visit was the exceptional service, and one name that deserves all the credit is Logan.

From the moment we entered, Logan's warm welcome set the tone for an enchanting cafe experience. His attentiveness and genuine enthusiasm for ensuring our comfort made us feel like treasured guests in a Parisian home. Logan's knowledge of the menu was impressive, and he effortlessly guided us through the culinary delights that awaited us.

Logan's recommendations were a testament to his understanding of the menu, and each dish he suggested was a masterpiece. His passion for amazing coffee and food combined with his warm personality makes this cafe leap above all the other cafes in the area.

Throughout every meal and snack, Logan's impeccable timing and attentive service made us feel pampered. He anticipated our needs, recommended incredible coffee and crepes (my fav is the jam crepe), and ensured that each dish we ordered for adults and our young kids was well prepared and delicious. Logan's professionalism and charm created a cozy atmosphere that perfectly complemented the French café's ambiance.

Not only did Logan excel in his role but he also contributed significantly to the overall ambiance of the café. His genuine smile and friendly demeanor created a welcoming atmosphere that made our experience truly memorable.

In conclusion, our visit to Nanou is a highlight of every trip we take to Ft Lauderdale Beach. We don't go anywhere else for coffee, breakfast, snacks, and sometimes lunch. Logan's exceptional service played a pivotal role in creating an unforgettable experience. You leave feeling like you have known Logan your whole life. If you're looking for an authentic French culinary experience with impeccable service, Nanou French Bakery on E Las Olas Blvd is the place to be. Merci, Logan, for making our experience always...

Three of us (2 adults + 1 child) ate there two mornings in a row. It was about $45-50 each day. Breakfast sandwiches were ok. Location was good. On the second day I ordered a Hot Chocolate ($5.15, expensive but whatevs) asking for “only light whipped cream.” It came in one of those small double-layer plastic pool-side tumblers. I was shocked that the hot chocolate was only 1/4 of the way full with the other 75% w whipped cream. I did not want to make a big deal about it (they had already made some other mistakes w our order - bringing out an incomplete order, and it was crowded, and I did not want to be “that guy.”) I finished breakfast and then decided that for the price, i should say something. Perhaps ask them to top the glass a bit. It was also less crowded by then. I spoke to the young man at the counter who immediately took the position that because i had finished it, there was nothing he could do. And that i was being unreasonable, basically “asking for a refund on something i had consumed.” To which i pointed out that i had not at all asked for a refund but that i would appreciate just a bit more of the hot chocolate. He refused. Reiterating his position, more aggressively, that since i had finished the glass, our relationship was complete and i was no longer his problem. His tone and demeanor became fairly hostile. I was shocked by how quickly the situation had escalated. Then the owner came by and we repeated the conversation, with the two of them speaking loudly to each other in French, the young man having by this time worked himself up into a fit of moral outrage. The owner agreed with the young man, suggesting that next time i point out complaints at the time of purchase. In conclusion, yes. Next time i am in that kind of situation I will engage sooner (or perhaps not at all.) But it also seems that the $0.50 it would have cost them to keep me satisfied, me being a customer who spent just shy of $100 over two days, and who will now likely never go back and who is instead leaving a “one star for service” review, might have been a sound investment....

I was in town for 24 hours staying at a hotel near by for a funeral. Came in around 11:45 on a Sunday before my flight to grab a drink and some food. I received 5 star service from the second I walked in and normally don’t leave reviews, but my experience here was so worth it.

The gentleman at the counter was SO nice, kind, and so caring. I wish I would’ve gotten his name, but he’s dark haired, cool tattoos, an earring, and the most warm smile. I have some stupid crazy allergies and when I tell you I’ve never had anyone as attentive and willing to not only accommodate, but make suggestions for how to still get a great meal- he was AMAZING. He was also so freaking kind and warm with with a great personality, and in 2024 in the restaurant industry unfortunately that’s harder to come by these days- so it was so appreciated!

The nanouccino was delicious, I literally scraped the glass with my spoon. The sandwich was perfect, the flavors were wonderful and I didn’t leave a speck of those delicious potatoes on the plate. You can tell that the owners and staff here are running this place with love and care and I felt that from the second I walked in to the second I left. Sat and ate my breakfast at a table inside and the ambience was joyful and light, inside of the restaurant is a great space.

When I come back to FLL I will definitely make this a permanent stop on my list, 10/10 the highlight of my...

This is a cool French bakery near our hotel. After wanting to come here a few days ago, we finally made it our last day. I wish we would have made it before too. The only hiccup was that they missed one item when ordering. Stuff happens. It’s the 4th and they were really busy. I ended up just having an iced Red Eye coffee that was good. My daughter had a 1/2 baguette with strawberry jam and she really liked it. She took part of it back to the hotel and finished it there. It also came with fresh squeezed orange juice that she said was really good. My wife had a sandwich that was bacon, over easy egg, avocado, and arugula on brioche with breakfast potatoes and she said that was great. We took a couple almond croissants and chocolate croissants back to the hotel. I had one of the almond croissants and it was pretty great. A couple in the store we talked to highly recommended the almond croissants as well and said they are reason enough to come here. They are 100% correct. Overall the place is straight bussin’ no cap. All the food looked so good that I didn’t even get pictures of it since it disappeared so fast. I only got pictures of the croissants back at the hotel.

I am in town for a solo scuba trip, and still had normal homework and work to do while traveling. I am staying a bit further inland and didn’t want to waste a day sitting in the hotel working, so I googled “coffee shops near the beach.” Nanou was the first and highest rated option, and seemed to be what I was looking for per the online appearance. Mind you, when I sit and work, I set up shop for a few hours. I expected a quant coffee shop atmosphere. When I arrived, after a 25 minute Lyft ride, I was a bit surprised to see how crowded and quick-service it seemed. However, a comfortable chair fit for a queen caught my eye, and the menu looked delicious, so I stuck to my original plan. Sure enough, even with likely a few hundred patrons passing through, the staff was patient, friendly, and personable, sharing the WiFi password and a few laughs, ensuring my iced dirty chai was exactly to my liking before moving on to the next customer. Somehow Nanou fits both comfort and service, still maintaining fresh food and drinks that help you forget this place is bustling with tourists (like myself). And the best part is- the butter was perfectly soft. The ride was worth it. 10/10

I had an awful experience, both with the food and the service from the woman at the counter. I ordered a breakfast sandwich on a croissant, expecting a fresh, flaky pastry made that day. Instead, I received a stale croissant, clearly from previous days, as you can see in the attached photo. The sandwich itself was disappointing—the tomatoes were just the top ends, poorly cut, and far from what you'd expect for the price. To make matters worse, the cinnamon roll I ordered on the side was also stale, lacking the rich flavor you'd expect from a place that calls itself a French bakery. The real low point came when I politely asked to speak with the manager to give them a chance to improve the experience. Instead of addressing my concerns professionally, she rudely dismissed me, insisting that "everything here is fresh." If this sandwich, as seen in the photo, is their definition of fresh, I strongly suggest she revisit France to learn what fresh truly means. Visiting this place is like playing the lottery—you might have a good day, but you also risk having a bad one that completely ruins your breakfast or snack. Proceed with caution.
