This place is a must visit if you are in Glenwood Springs! The show was absolutely amazing and so entertaining for all ages, though I wouldn’t recommend bringing small children since the show and dinner time is 2+ hours long which can be hard for little ones to sit still for. If you are in a group of 2 you will likely be sat with another group of 2 at a 4 top table if the show is full so just be aware! We were lucky since there was a snow storm and a lot of cancellations, we had the table to ourselves, but I do feel like this could be a tad awkward. The wait staff and ushers are also the performers and are incredibly friendly and engaging with the audience. The food was from local restaurants and the main courses were excellent, though the sides were lacking, which we didn’t mind since the main course was delicious. We did not try any appetizers or desserts but they looked good. We had the chicken tikka masala and the quiche which I would absolutely order again. The side we ordered was the mashed potato’s which were bland. Meal prices were $12-$30+. Drinks were $10-$15. I am not sure what wine and beer prices looked like since we stuck to mixed drinks. Tickets for adults were $30 each. Doors were at 6 and the pre show didn’t actually start until about 7/730 so there was plenty of time to order food and drinks before the show. They also take your dessert order before the show starts to drop off during the intermission, which we chose to order a drink instead. The show is full of comedy sketches, musical numbers, jokes, and just fun for everyone. It was so entertaining from start to finish this is definitely a show I would make a point to see every time I come to...
Read moreTo steal a line from a famous Broadway show - "for dance, 10. For looks, 3". In this case for the show - 9, for the food, well, let's just say there is room for improvement. Our party of 3 had the spaghetti, which didn't taste very good. I had the meatball sub, which was just OK. Meatballs were obviously out of a bag, and had a weird consistency and aftertaste. And there was the chicken Marsala, which likewise was not very well seasoned, and not much chicken. Glenwood has a lot of excellent restaurants, so perhaps eat early and just enjoy an extra cocktail or two.
On to the good stuff. The show is funny, moves along at a pretty good clip and the actors are talented enough to pull off some pretty tough musical numbers. Eva Kosmos and Tom Erickson stand out vocally from the rest, although all are capable enough. Bailey Barnums "Alto's Lament" is clever and well done, and if you know a bit about music, makes more sense. The humor is family friendly, and while some of the jokes are real groaners, that is surely part of the appeal of vaudeville? The 2nd half is stronger than the first, with a really funny parody of a number of pop songs done with Covid lyrics - hysterical.
Definitely great value overall, at only $25 for an adult ticket. Anyone who likes musical theater or comedy in general should make...
Read moreAttended this magnificent event tonight for a company holiday party and what a wonderful experience! The cast, servers, cast who were servers, bartenders, hosts, backstage crew, all were amazing! I still do not know how the cast has the energy to wait on guests before the show, then be on stage and perform, then during intermission go back and make sure drinks and dessert are served before the 2nd act. Food was good, lots of choices and they made my favorite cocktail perfectly even though it's not on their menu. I was very impressed by the entertainment! Comedy had me genuinely laughing, choreography for songs and dance acts are well put together, the casts interaction with the guests is fun. Even though I had no idea what I was in for, I was always comfortable and enjoyed every minute of it. I will definitely go back and suggest anyone whose with a large group of people and you're looking for entertainment, go to the Vaudeville. They definitely can occomodate large or small groups. There were a few kids in the audience and the cast kept it fun enough for the adults but PG enough you can take all ages there. Thank you all at the Vaudeville for a wonderful time! You made this holiday time so...
