Read moreIf I could ZERO stars, I would. I typically would brush off an inconsiderate person, but this time, NO. If anyone knows anything about hospitality and treating guests in their establishment kindly, fairly, and respectfully the people and management DON'T. I booked a hotel for Friday night, and as my family was starting our journey to Glenwood Springs, I went to look for our itinerary and couldn't find it in my email. I called the inn, and they were not able to find my reservation. I told woman on the phone (Donna) to hold another card on file and when we arrive ( about 2-3 hours later) I will give her my original to charge, once I can figure it out, but not to charge it. It was Labor Day weekend, so I wanted to ensure we had a place to sleep. During the drive to Glenwood Springs from Denver ( stopping in Buena Vista) I realized the reason why I could not locate the reservation was because it was a different hotel I reserved (Glenwood Springs Inn vs. Glenwood Springs Hotel), an easy toss up. As soon as I realized the misunderstanding, I called Donna and explained the situation. She began to act extremely rude to me on the phone, and told me it was too late, and she went ahead and charged my card!! : ( I explained that I had not signed anything, or gave her permission to charge it, only HOLD it, and she refused. It was the worst treatment I have had in a long time and super upsetting. My partner tried to reason with her, and help us out, as we are a young family, and she claimed to be the manager, BUT NO. She seemed to think it was okay to take $280 for one night, and we were NOT EVEN STAYING THERE. She was mean and rude and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT staying there, it looked like a dump anyway. It was a such a sour start to a really fantastic weekend. We have disputed and still waiting for that unnecessary charge...
Really wish you could give half stars I would give a 3.5. First thing is the rate to spend just over $200 for 2 nights was awesome compared to the other places around. This place was super clean with some recent updated touches. Space was plentiful in the bedroom and the kitchenette/closet. Honestly this may have had a full kitchen at one point but it has lots of space including a small kitchen sink, mini fridge w freezer, some cabinets, and microwave. Also included are two large chairs along with plenty of room to hang clothes. 7 hangers were included in our room also plenty of shelves above the closet rod if you can reach. Wifi worked for the kiddos. To give full disclosure review the negatives. It is kinda obvious a lot of what needs repairs is going to need time and skills. The entry door you need to close the deadbolt then push it further to get the door knob to latch up and seal the door. Oh and we still have good ol locks with keys. The door knob to the restroom the lock did not work. The exhaust fan in the restroom not working so the restroom is going to get super damp after showers. The small rubber trim between the carpeted and tiled areas are all crooked and sticking out not pleasant if you catch it barefoot. Beds are on the very firm side. Tv is grainy but okay to catch the local news. Toilet will run if you don't giggle the handle. A/C unit is old school does not have a digital readout so you will need to figure out how much blue or red you need plus the auto cool does not turn off the unit so it can get humid in the room. Parking could be...
Read moreIf I could give negative stars I would!!! I have stayed at hundreds of hotels in the last 20 years of my travels and this was by far the worst experience I’ve ever heard. I booked 2 rooms. We get there and 1 out of the 2 rooms we were given was literally out of service. Sheets were on the floor balled up. Stuff everywhere. We go back to the office to let them know, so they give us another room. The manager said “oh I forgot that room was out of service“.The 2nd room had hair in the sheets, and on the pillows. There was a ball of hair on the shower floor, and a bloody tampon and some trash in the trash can of the bathroom. So we went back to the office and asked for clean sheets for that room as we refused to sleep on dirty sheets. The manager refused to give us sheets for the room and said she couldn’t keep going round and round with us. She wouldn’t even give us clean sheets to replace the dirty ones with. She suggested we just check out and leave. We did absolutely nothing wrong, we were given 2 dirty rooms. The manager was the most unprofessional and rude person I’ve probably ever dealt with. After doing some research there is more than one violation here according to the hotel licensing board. So we will be contacting them to file complaints. We have plenty of picture evidence! If we aren’t given a full refund we will be contacting the Colorado state attorneys office as well. WORST HOTEL EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD. Horrible horrible place. Do not...
