Bluebird has the BEST indoor space in Glenwood. It is remarkably spacious, warm, comfy, and ideal for working by yourself or meeting with several people. I was not pleased with the value of the food menu, however. When I pay $10+ dollars for a sandwich, I expect a large one with special bread and plenty of ingredients. I think there were only a few slices of turkey and there was no dressing or condiment…which would be fine but they do not offer mayo or mustard. (There was ketchup and hot sauce avail, but that’s it.) I just can’t imagine a sandwich shop without classic condiments. To boot, I opted for the “fruit cup,” which turned out to be a shot glass of five pieces of fruit. See pic. I do love this place, and the young staff who work here are sweet, but I felt compelled to write a review when the following happened - MORE THAN ONCE! A couple walked in to get a coffee with leftovers in a boxed in their hands. The barista first thing said, “The signs says ‘no outdoor food.” She hadn’t even greeted them. They said they just wanted coffee to go, and still had to prove to her that they were leftovers. When the same sitch happened again I became wholeheartedly disappointed. To end on a positive note, I will actually likely return to Bluebird. Its location, indoor space, and WiFi are unparalleled in the area, and the cheesecake does look feather good ☺️

If you want to wait 30-40 mins for one cup of coffee, sure stop here! While there’s probably 15 people waiting for coffee and food, there’s only one person working on coffees; meanwhile girl #2 is hiding in the corner on her phone just being ABSOLUTELY RUDE to costumers. She has a face like she hates everyone and hates living. They always mess up my order and I keep giving them the benefit of the doubt, only because their location is so convenient. On top of everything I went back to ask for a refund because she never got my order right, and she was like well you never clarified is not my fault, I told them I’d talk to Bishop about their poor customer service and attitude and she said, I don’t care call him if you want to! I swear this is the last time I go to this coffee shop, the worst service you can get. I hate doing this to Bishop, he’s a good guy that contributes to the community, but he needs to know his employees are absolutely not qualified to be in the costumer-food service. Bad attitude, unprofessional, unorganized, rude and not qualified baristas.

1st time for my husband and I here on a Saturday of Memorial Day weekend 2024. Ordered a gluten free quiche, regular latte, bagel sandwich and hot chocolate. You order and they give a number, find your own seat - they expect you to retrieve your drink from the counter when they call out the drink name and somehow not lose your seat. We waited 40 minutes for food and 45 min for drinks. The restaurant was full when we arrived and we lost our seats with their system. Also due to having no name or number on the drinks people heard their drink name called and took our drink. At 35 min went to ask for our drinks and food and told it woukd be next but then 3 other drinks were made before ours. Watched other customers ask for refund and tell incoming patrons to expect 25-30 min wait for drinks. The atmosphere is very busy and over decorated. The food was delicious and the drinks were good once we got them. Their system and time management sucks bad. I'd go again but would assess how busy as the flavors were that good and finding gluten free is hard.

We are Colorado Western Slope residents. This is our second visit to Glenwood Springs and the hot springs. We needed to get lunch somewhere and saw this restaurant on the main street. We checked reviews and they were fairly good so decided to give this place a try. We went in, found a table for six and waited. There was only one other party in the restaurant and it was 1:45pm on Saturday. I finally asked if they had menus and was told no they had everything on their chalkboard which was difficult to read. Then we were told they were closing their lunch but we could order their quiches they had premade in the case. We ordered three quiches, two coffees, and a couple of sodas. It was crazy expensive for just that and we had to order at the counter, find our own silverware, salt and pepper, napkins and water. Can we say no service at all? We looked around and noticed there were bins with signs that said Bus your own table. My son was not done with his coffee and left to use the restroom. My two daughters and myself had picked up our dishes and placed them in the bins. Because we drove separately my daughter and I got up to leave. As we were walking out of the restaurant the clerk YELLED at us to bus our table. We turned around and said we already did that. Then she spouted back, that empty coffee cup and saucer (which was not empty). We told her it was my son's and we didn't know if he was finished and we walked out. My other daughter and son and grandkids were still in the restaurant when the clerk proceeded to tell the other clerk loudly that we had spent $40 and didn't even bother to tip! (the $40 was only my order) I am not in the habit of tipping when I have to serve myself and bus my own table. I've worked hard for my money and am happy to tip where there is service and the staff is polite. This place is way over priced and the "staff" are beyond rude. Do yourself a favor and go...

We went here due to some reviews but off the bat I could tell it was going to be a bad experience and it certainly was. We did not feel welcome and ALL the girls had terrible entitlement type of attitudes. The girl ringing us up acted as if we were interrupting her from not doing her job of standing around. She was rude when taking our order and acted like everything we asked for was unheard of. Asking for an extra plain bagel seemed out of their way, like that was something they'd never done before. I asked for 2 bacon bagels and she rung them up with no bacon AND she asked if we wanted a plain or everything bagel. We asked for one everything and was upcharged 50 cents. No big deal. It wasn't until we received our to go order that I saw that both bagels had plain bagels. I called the store and the girl who answered acted as if I got the wrong number and had no clue how to talk to a customer. A simple 'sorry about that' would have sufficed but again there was that attitude over the phone. I came into store to ask about the order and no one said hello. I had to ask when the lady came up to me, no smile, and didn't ask me what I needed. I had to tell her, she came out and said they were out of the everything bagel, so why didn't they say anything when they gave me my order. Again NO apology, just attitude. At this point, the 50 cents made a huge difference. She looked at the cash register and assumed I'd follow her and when I looked to find her, she held up her phone to show me on the menu the 50 cent upcharge for an everything bagel. That WASN'T THE point! The point was, the order was wrong so take Ownership of it, say sorry or oops or something! NONE of that was done. Again attitude from all 3 girls. Terrible Terrible customer service. Oh and the food was cold....

If I could give lower than a star I would give a 1/2 star. It starts off with not enough tables. There is only one menu and taped to the counter with DO NOT TOUCH. How friendly is that?! I ordered the Bacon protein breakfast with avocado, egg, bacon and fruit for 9.75. My husband ordered bacon burrito and was told they were out of bacon. So he got the same dish as I did….funny both dishes had bacon. We were charged 24.00 for two of the 9.75 meals……someone needs a math class. We said something about it and he told us it was the fruit. However the menu said it all under one price. He then said you can’t believe menus.

A table became available but it had no salt or pepper or anything for that matter, other not cleaned. None of the tables were cleaned after anyone left during the time we were there. When they brought our food the man set it down then started to walk away. My husband asked about silverware, the man turned around slapped it down hard on the table totally annoyed at the request and walked off. The food was okay, the bacon was so thin you could practically see through it. There is really no service here. You take your dishes and trash….oh maybe we were supposed to wipe down the table. For being one of the top 10 places in Glenwood to have breakfast…….I’m scared to see the others. I’d rather go to Village Inn. Save your money and frustration and eat else where. This...
