Visit Glenwood Springs — Attraction in Glenwood Springs

While traveling on the AMTRAK California Zephyr last August from Omaha to Reno, I discovered Glenwood Springs from the Window of my Roomette and immediately realized it is a Must See Destination. Planning My First Visit to Glenwood Springs this August, Visit Glenwood Springs - The Glenwood Springs Visitor Center - was of Great Assistance and Invaluable Help… I have just completed my extended AMTRAK Excursion that included a Memorable Stay at The Historic Hotel Colorado and and a Memorable Travel Experience (Activities, Restaurants, Shopping, etc.). My Planning for a Return Visit next August has begun and I will again rely on Visit Glenwood Springs. THANK YOU!!!!!!!

Our experience was decent but not great. The location is good which is part of the downtown and not in some distant strip mall on the edge of town. The chamber was suffering a shortage of staff as many were/are in the Fall 2021. We had to wait a very long time for someone to answer our questions. We stopped here since several trails were closed due to recent fire and we needed to see what was open. Kara was absolutely amazing! She told us about the open hikes and listened to what we wanted. She was so knowledgeable of the area and such a help to us. We loved the Red Mountain trail that she recommended. We even called her the next day for more details about our day trip to Aspen. She shared hidden gems with us, was always friendly, and gave us ample time to ask questions. ...
