If you're experiencing any sort of issues with your computer and looking to get them fixed, DO NOT go here. It's very apparent the guy working here doesn't really know what he's doing and the customer service is very bad.
I brought in my PC because it started getting the "blue screen of death" and wasn't properly turning on. I believed I had short-circuited the motherboard when I tried to install new RAM but I wanted to make sure that was the issue. From the moment I walked in I was treated as through I wasn't welcome. The guy working there was rude in conversation and acted as though I was inconveniencing him simply by coming in. After I explained the issue, he took my PC to the back. I watched carefully as he only plugged it in, tried to turn it on, then quickly brought it back to me and only said "it's broken. Nothing I can do. Get a new computer." That was it. No real diagnostic, troubleshooting, or even a half-hearted effort to figure out the problem. I ended up taking my PC to the IT guy at my work. He helped me disassemble and reassemble my PC, and we got it working like new. This maybe took us 30 minutes, max.
The fact that the guy working here was as rude as he was and made absolutely no effort whatsoever to help me with my issue shows he likely doesn't really know what he's doing when it comes to actually working on computers. Or he's too lazy/rude to care about actually doing his job. Avoid this place...
Read moreI’ve been shopping around for refurbished laptops and decided to check out Tech Center Computers. I was immediately impressed by, and appreciated, the comprehensive inventory list on their website. It’s extremely helpful when shopping for things like this, and definitely missing in other places! There’s even a computer set up so you can scroll through the list in-store. I was even more impressed with the quantity of laptops available and the pricing, which was more than fair and even felt generous. Adam is also incredibly knowledgeable and helpful! Answered all my questions and then some, and really listened and took into consideration my needs, suggesting alternatives based on them. I ended up exchanging my original purchase (just a matter of personal preference), Adam was super understanding about it and had my new laptop with the receipt ready to go when I arrived. Thank you so much for your promptness and all your help Adam. I definitely recommend Tech Center Computers to anyone looking for or in need of...
Read moreThe owner is brief and quiet, and he seems like a really nice guy. That’s not why you should go here though. You should go here because his prices are genuinely unbeatable. I went to his shop yesterday for a refurbished Dell XPS13 (i7, 16gb, 512gb) and it was priced at 250$. He was upfront about some slight battery degradation, but that could not matter less at this price. For 250$ and a fun little side project, I’ve learned a lot about Intel RST, and got a new daily use computer with some years to go and a lot of performance power for it’s use case (which is decidedly not gaming given the lack of a modern gpu) but more likely some moderate development workloads.
Will definitely be going back here.
Also grabbed a 2tb nvme M.2 ssd for a...
