This is typically the Michaels that I come to because it is closer to home. This store is usually pretty clean and things seem to be in the right places. The employees are always nice and helpful. But I will say that Michael’s as a whole and the Company itself has disappointed this customer with the rise in prices as well as getting rid of products that seem to be widely used. It seems like they are starting to focus more on the decor part of it instead of the crafting things, and even the decor prices are outrageous with a sale going on. That opinion has nothing to do with the people that work at this particular store but it is something that Michaels may want to think about with their customer base. I worked at Michael’s for 4 1/2 years many years ago and it has just changed so much since that time. I am still typically able to find what I need, but never leave with all the items I do need due to their prices. I understand how the economy works but it’s unfortunate that their prices have raised so much over the last few years. Read moreI used to love Michael's. Things have changed. Each store I've visited within the last year just hasn't been the same. This particular location was so unorganized, I couldn't find half of what I needed and no one was in sight anywhere for assistance. They had two separate clearance sections full of broken, mislabeled items along with many without a price. I carried a load of shopping to the register, then had to sort out what I was actually going to buy depending on the cost. Aside from that,it was incredibly hot in the store. I don't know about anyone else but when I'm out in a 95° sun blasting day, I prefer to shop in at least mild comfort. The one and only employee spoken to was at the register and she was nice and friendly but I could see the sweat seeping out of her head, slowly dripping down her face.
