Tanner Underwater — Attraction in Jupiter

If it was possible to leave more than a 5 star review, I would. My wife and I recently went on a shark dive with Tanner. At the start, when booking with him, I noticed he was both fast and helpful with his responses. No question was too small. Things like this are important when it is your first experience in the water with sharks and you are feeling a bit anxious. But - he makes you feel at ease and in safe hands even before you have met him. We met at the boat and Tanner had all of our equipment ready and cleaned. We were super lucky to have Madison diving with us that day too! As we headed out, he warmly welcomed us all and spoke to us about what we could expect to see. It was very clear he took safety extremely seriously and we did not once feel uneasy during the trip. In fact, I could feel his passion for working with sharks and the massive respect he had for them. During our time in the water, you could tell that Tanner's tour wasn't just a commercialised glorified money making shark touristy experience. It was different. He would wait until the right moment to get in, he wouldn't rush. He would get a sense of the sharks before inviting any guests to get in. It was an incredibly beautiful and humbling experience to swim alongside these sharks and actually feel at one with them, instead of feeling rushed and instead of having lots of tourist boats around etc. And the photos!!!! If you go on a shark trip with Tanner, please say yes to him if he asks if you want photos. It is an add on, but honestly the photos are incredible. His work has been commissioned for Nat Geo/BBC/SharkWeek. Any photos he takes of you will be incredible - ours definitely were! David, the safety diver was also so lovely! This was my first Shark dive ever, as well as the first for my long time girlfriend and we couldnt have been happier with the experience. We have been on our fair share of snorkling trips but we were blown away by how nice everything was set up by Tanner and his team. Tanner's charter is clean, classy and professional. Captain Curtis's does an amazing job getting everyone out on the water and back safely and smoothly. Once out in the water, there was never a time where I felt unsafe. Tanner and David did an amazing job of prioritizing saftey all while getting some truly amazing shots of not just us swimming on our own but even some couples shots of us diving down together! There were sharks the entire time and we even saw a massive hammer head! I have never seen animals like that in their natural habitat it was mesmerizing. I also thought it was super cool that you could bring your own gear even though all the gear was provided and was of high quality. And for all those not too confident in their diving abilities we shared the charter with a couple from Alabama that had no snorkeling experience whatsoever and they LOVED it! On the other hand if you are a pro we also had another woman on the charter who said she had dived all over the world but that Tanner was her go to for the best experience in South Florida let alone worldwide. So whether you are the experienced diver or have never used a snorkel this charter is hands down the one ill reccommend to anyone and everyone who asks me! I have been on three expeditions with Tanner and am beyond grateful to have met such a cool and charismatic person. I went shark diving with him in Florida, twice, and finished a trip to Magdalena Bay in Mexico in November of 2024. Each trip has been special and they all were experiences of a lifetime filled with core memories of connecting with a variety of species of sharks, marlin, dolphins, whales, and sea lions in their natural environment. The trip accommodations and crewmembers were phenomenal. Safety of the guests and animals is always top priority, but Tanner and his team will do all that they can to provide a dream experience. Tanner's passion for sharks and our ocean ecosystems is abundantly clear. He has extensive knowledge of shark behavior, diving, and underwater photography, and is a blast to be around. His chill demeanor is infectious. The people Tanner has chosen to work alongside are all knowledgeable, good-hearted individuals that care and love to share their home with others. After completing an expedition with Tannerunderwater, you will come away with the experience of a lifetime and an adrenaline rush that you will want to experience over and over, while also leaving with an appreciation for the wildlife you were fortunate to spend time with.
