Fair warning - it's a long one. First things first, they do amazing work. I can't deny that my nails look gorgeous, but I will not be returning. I heard amazing things about The Lacquer Room and was told this was the same owner so I decided I'd pop over on my lunch break and give it a try. I was so excited and had been waiting all week to get my nails done here. I called about an hour ahead and asked if there was room for an appointment and they sounded hesitant, but agreed - I offered a couple different times in case that would work better but she said it was okay and they could make the appointment.
I had a small wait, but eventually I got sat down and had someone begin taking off my previous dip. Once she drilled off the top coat I was soaking the rest off when another woman came over and checked on me, twenty minutes later she came back and I suppose this was who was going to be doing my nails. She didn't say anything to me, didn't work on my cuticles, just finished taking off the polish and immediately started to dip without asking what I wanted. Even though with her previous customers she was just laughing and having conversations with them and another nail tech. So I stopped her and showed her a picture of what I was wanting which she then seemed to get frustrated and said no one told me I was doing a design. Well... no one had spoken to me about anything yet. At this point I had been here for about 45 minutes. I apologized and was trying to be kind and patient because they were very busy and I know the Holidays suck when you work with people. She continued to work like she was rushing through my nails while another tech showed her snapchat videos. Then I overhear them talking about other people coming in for an appointment who I later found out they were friends with. So I realized she was rushing through and not speaking to me so she could be with her friends. I definitely felt like I was nothing but a huge inconvenience to say the least. Another lady came up and looked at the design I had on my phone and asked the tech who was working on me if that's the design she was doing and she said, "Yeah, but I didn't know I was going to be doing it," and then started speaking in another language. Okay again, I'm sorry but no one asked me what I wanted - I had only picked out my color, sat there for forty five minutes only to have you come over and grab my hand and start working without speaking to me.
She finishes dipping and asks another guy to do my design because now her friends are here and they brought her presents and she would clearly rather be with them then with me. So the other guy sits at his station, back to me, on his phone for about five minutes. I've been here for an hour and fifteen minutes now. He gets up, still on his phone, sits in front of me, still on his phone and sits there for another couple of minutes. He didn't say a word to me either. Then he gets up and walks around sits back down on his phone for another five minutes. Finally another girl notices I'm getting frustrated and she nudges him and he begins working on my design. He did beautiful work, really amazing, but I can't justify sitting right in front of your customer that's already been here for over an hour and being on your phone not speaking to them or even making a small amount of eye contact.
Overall, I was there for two hours and fifteen minutes - definitely longer than I intended considering I was on my lunch break, which I ended up having to stay late at work to cover. The only good customer service I received is from the ladies at the front desk and the ones walking around. I wish that was enough to make me come back because I really was looking for a regular salon to go to and I was so excited about going there yesterday. But I left feeling like an inconvenience and like they didn't want me in there...
Read moreI called for an appointment on a Sunday morning and the receptionist said “just walk in”. My friend and I arrived at 1:30 for a pedicure and a fill. They took my friend right away and told me it would be a 30 minute wait. An hour and a half later, they moved me twice but finally had someone start on my nails. She noticed my acrylics separating from my nails and recommend a new set so I wouldn’t get infected. I said I didn’t have time for a new set, as I had already been there 2 hours. She proceeded to fill over brown spots on my nails. She seemed frustrated with me and accidentally cut my cuticle. I had to rush to get back to my kids, but (in 3 hours) I just spent $50 to get a fill that I planned on lasting for 2-3 weeks but left with a bloody thumb and needing to get my nails done to avoid infection. I stopped in the next day and explained my frustration and asked that they fix my nails with a new set and I would pay the difference. They made an appointment for me 4 days later. I spent 30 minutes waiting to hear all they could offer was 10% off a new set. I said I would rather pay less at a place I know is reliable. They came back 10 minutes later saying the most they could offer was 15%. I felt insulted that they did not value me as a customer and wasted my time. They spoke to me as if this was my fault for not getting a new set the first time. I’m can’t justify paying $100 in a week for my nails when you messed up.
I do not recommend Nail Society. I would not want anyone else to go through what I experienced here.
I’m truly disappointed because I work near by and was so excited for them to open, so I could have a new spot. I would have been a valuable customer, but they clearly don’t care about guest...
Read moreWalking into this salon, I was impressed by the layout and the interior design. But I shouldn't have been fooled by the aesthetic interior. I attached an inspiration picture and the nails I ended up receiving below. The guy who did my nails was super nice, but kept hurting me and made me bleed when they were getting done. After my appointment I had to go home and spend 2 hours scraping the gel off and redoing the manicure myself. In the past week, six of my nails have broken and two have broken under the skin and are bleeding and extremely painful and damaged. I have never had this happen with nails before. I spent 70 dollars (as a college student might I add) to get these done only for them to snap off and insanely harm my nail beds. I called to ask if there was anyway they could take them off (NOT RE-DO THEM!!!) for free so I don't have to be in PAIN from the NAILS THEY DID, and they said no. So ultimately don't take your business here. I bet there are some amazing individuals that work here and I really wanted to give this place the benefit of the doubt, but my experience trying to get help with the BLEEDING UNDER MY NAILS is insanely...
