Long Beach Parasail — Attraction in Long Beach

Stole $150 of my sisters money.

She purchased me a sea lion tour through groupon. She booked the date for redeeming the groupon specifically with the Long Beach company after speaking to someone on their direct phone line for a tour to see the sea lions at Catalina.

Because she is not from Long Beach she did not realize that you can’t get to Catalina and back in an hour and a half

Basically, this tour she booked is a ghost tour, because not only is it impossible to get to Catalina Island and back again in an hour and a half, this company not legally allowed to give tours as they do not have the proper licensing nor insurance to do that in the city of Long Beach.

Now, these tours ARE properly licensed, insured, and approved for the island of Catalina location, another branch of this company. But NOT in Long Beach.

I realized the amount of time to go to the location we were being promised to be taken to was not the correct amount of time, and I realized that this company was not properly licensed nor insured to offer these types of tours in the city of Long Beach, the day before we were supposed to go on the tour so I attempted to contact the company.

I tried for over an hour to reach them over the phone and nobody would answer

When they wouldn’t answer the phone I drove down during their business hours and no one was around.

I confirmed with the only boat operator on that section of the harbor, Spirit, that Long Beach Parasailing offers no boat tours at all- and only do parasailing.

Again, you also cannot get to the sea lions and back again in an hour and a half, there is no way to do this. It looks like they’re doing this grift specifically to scam money from Groupon customers by offering a service they do not give and refusing to refund when they cant...

Had to wait forever to finally be able to book our trip due to Covid and fires and so many different factors that were preventing us from doing this experience. Then when we finally did, we were told we didn’t have to worry about taking videos or pictures with our own phones because we got and paid for the photo package. So we didn’t use our phones and low and behold their camera supposedly had some sort of malfunction and now we have no photo memories of our experience and all they want to refund me after spending $570 +40 for the photo package is the $40 for the photo package and the woman I spoke with was rude af with an attitude like I did something to her. You can’t re-create a first experience for kids, two of the four kids are too scared to return, but they want to give me half-off of our “next experience” which will never happen now. Besides this isn’t worth the money anyway once u do it once, def no need to do it again. I don’t recommend this place whatsoever, you definitely DO NOT get what you pay for. You’re literally up for less than six minutes in the air and that cost $95 AND there’s no guarantee you’ll get pix? The guys on the boat were super cool but this isn’t about personalities, it’s about business and the people running the business portion only care about their money and clearly not the satisfaction of...

So this is my first time parasailing and Long Beach Parasail made for a great experience. Parking is dependent on how busy it is, but not extremely hard to find parking. I was running a bit late due to finding a spot and the representative was understanding and stated we were still making good time. The booth wasn't extremely hard to find. Everyone from the check in process to the harness guy and captain were knowledgeable and helpful. Justin was the captain, I felt very confident with his brief on what was going to happen and that everything would go according to plan in a safe manner. The harness guy, I forgot his name so forgive me for that, is funny and helpful while taking the time to explain what to do and what not to do. He works for tips so if anyone is reading this and chooses to go take some cash with you in case you feel the experience was a good one. They have venmo and other apps for that purpose just in case. Picture taking was a good touch, overall the experience was a fun and safe ride. I highly recommended...
