I can’t recommend this company enough. You can tell Steve is very experienced and knew exactly what he was doing. He had let a larger ship captain know he had found a whale earlier in the morning so his guests could have a great experience as well. When we showed up that ship was waiting around for the whale Steve had found to show up but soon gave up and drive off. Steve knew we should wait around a while longer and just as that other ship drove off the whale surfaced right by us. We got to see the whale just a stones throw away from the boat surface a few different times. When the whale went back down for a dive Steve took us to a giant pod of dolphins that swam with us and jumped from the water an arms length from his boat. It was an unforgettable and very intimate experience. If you’re looking for an up close and personal experience with these animals I can’t recommend Steve enough. This was the best whale watching tour I’ve ever experienced! Captain Steve was diligent in finding marine life. Checking signs and stopping to find clues with his binoculars, along the way, shortened our search time. We saw sea lions, harbor seals, migrating birds, and a Mola Mola. To top it off, we spent a half hour with a Blue Whale! Having a whale expert on board is a huge plus. Jessamy is an encyclopedia of knowledge. I learn something new on every charter but she taught us many things. My favorite part was Captain Steve going out of his way to pull balloons out of the ocean. We collected 7 on this trip. Balloons Blow, don’t let them go. His boat, “Catacea” is super cool! It is close to the water and ultra stable on the ocean. This provides the best experience for anyone worried about sea sickness.
