Lane Mitchell Jewelers Manitou Springs — Attraction in Manitou Springs

This review is long overdue. I brought my wedding set to Lane back in November, each band had a terrible crack. It was then Lane was able to magnify both my rings and show me the true distress each ring had. My set was passed down to me and are from the 1930s. Which was quite clear no one in a century had done any work on maintaining either ring, myself included. At that point Lane walked me through 3 price options regarding lowest to highest which, I did appreciate. I did not intend walking in there that day to do a full restoration but after seeing the damage- from most to all prongs being worn down, some stones were already visibly loose on camera, and the metal also showed severe wear and tear. I decided to fully restore both rings. It’s worth noting that my soon-to-be brother-in-law was having my sister’s engagement ring made at Lanes’ at the same time and we were hopeful to remove 2 stones from my set to use in her ring. Karlie worked with us on making that happen, as my rings were the last of any jewelry from our grandmother and we wanted to incorporate her in some way for my sister. Even though the stones were slightly smaller in size for the setting Karlie assured us she would be able to make them work. The 2 diamonds in my ring were absolutely flawlessly replaced with the birthstones of my daughters. When I picked up my ring, I can tell you I cried as I did the day my husband gave me that ring over 13years ago. It was beyond stunning. I cannot say enough about Lane Mitchell Jewelers. Their entire staff goes above and beyond to create the most beautiful peices. Lane designed my daughter's engagement ring. He spent time facetiming her fiance who was in Mississippi to pick out the perfect diamond and put it in the setting my daughter wanted. It was everything she hoped for and then some. He had it ready exactly when he said it would be and the proposal went beautifully! I had my grandmother's engagement ring that I wanted to make into a pendant and earrings. I literally went there last week, met with Carly and she had them made immediately so that I could surprise my daughter with them for her wedding that is next week. Amazing! When I picked them up today, I needed to make a change to the earrings (my decision!) Carly stopped what she was doing, and changed them to be exactly what I wanted right then and there so that I could still take them home today. Becca has been amazing for so much guidance, and was willing to get all of the processes started and finished. She has been such a wonderful help in all of our experiences there, from scheduling meetings, to helping me pick things out and with all of the payment processes. She also goes above and beyond to make sure that you are taken care of in every way possible. I'm new the area and was looking for somewhere to take my wedding ring/bands and have them resized. I am very particular about where I take my jewelry pieces and someone in my neighborhood FB group recommended Lane Mitchell. I called ahead to see what their policy was for appointments and was told by the very polite woman who answered the phone that while I didn't need an appointment, she recommended certain times of day to come due to seasonal traffic of the main strip which I truly appreciated because I was not aware that was a thing.

I walked in for an evaluation with no appointment needed and despite them being busy I was greeted immediately and was able to get a quote within about ten minutes. They had originally told me it would be about 2 weeks out to get my ring which was completely reasonable but because I was going out of town and needed it within 10 days if anyway possible they marked that date down and told me they would do their best to get it done by then if they could. To my surprise they called me seven days later to pick up my ring! I was so excited it was ready so soon and I was even more excited when I saw it and it fit perfectly! Dan did an amazing job on my ring and I swear it looks even better than when I dropped it off. Not to mention every single person in there was happy and polite!
