Snowshoe WV — Attraction in Marlinton

NEED TO KNOW: -the depot is where you get lift tickets purchased or printed in the village north end -Inn at snowshoe is easier to get lift tickets purchased or printed before you get to village if not staying at snowshoe village with included parking -free parking is at the “top of the world” south end of village (opposite end of depot) -shuttles run between places every ?? min Including the inn at base of Mtn.

LIFTS: -village is at top of Ballhooter lift(easier) and powder monkey -“Top of the world” parking is at top of soaring eagle lift south end of village -runs Flume 🟢and Hootenanny 🟢 will take you across mountain to other lifts -it’s annoying to end up at powder ridge lift (terrain park) and figure out how to get back to main area (left off lift to powder...

Elk River Snowboard and Ski Rentals were very helpful and informative both before we arrived at the mtn and when we arrived to pickup gear and finalize payment. Cannot over emphasize how helpful and easy to do business with. Also ski passes can be bought next door and lift is next door, literally just a few steps away. Great equipment.

We snowboarded on Christmas day so things were uncrowded. A reality I haven't experienced in years. Conditions were great although no fresh snow.

This is a good place to ski. A decent amount of runs to mix it up. Lifts, however, are agonizingly slow. The majority of people here are NOVICE skiers and don't know the code of the hill. They are also obstacles as they are in the middle of the piste trying to get up. I've never skied anywhere where there were so many fallen skiers.

Food is stupid expensive in the village...
