Cheat Mountain Pizza — Restaurant in Marlinton

Wish I could give it a higher ranting just because of the staff friendliness. I placed a takeout order at 8:50 and it was finally ready at 10:05. I get they are busy. I feel for small businesses that are all understaffed and overworked. I wasn't even really upset with how long it took. The manager even made an extra small cheese pizza for our wait. i was actually joking and enjoying my wait because I fully understand how difficult it is for small businesses as I am one myself.

The 3 stars is for the food quality and the price. I understand it's a resort and prices are going to be about 15% higher then normal. The quality of the food though simply wasn't worth it. I got the supreme and the BBQ pizza. BBQ strands were meager, fatty and undercooked. It's like the didn't even cook the BBQ because it was just room temperature. and laid on top of a cheese pizza already made.

The supreme had enough toppings but same thing....lukewarm.

I also ordered meatball sub. It was freshly made but the meat itself tasted more like viel, or some off brand cheaper meat product instead of hamburger meat.

Cheese tasted older as well...definetly not higher quality.

I think they probably made the two pizzas, set them aside, did other orders and forgot about me. That's why the room temperature. But the taste of the ingredients simply was something I could better at home with.

Once again, staff is working their tail ends off and are trying. Just the ingredients aren't worth...

OK.. OK... The pizza is over priced. However it is a resort. And hey... Someone had to carry these delicious ingredients up the mountain. Our family ordered to of the large pizzas and piled on the toppings (FYI you aren't up-charged for your toppings - so pile up your soon to be tasty pizza). We also ordered their spicy(not to spicy) buffallo wings - and another of their barbecue wings. All of the food was amazing! The pizza crust was perfectly cooked and the dough was not to dry. Add that in to some amazing mountain views. It was a great feast. I have to say before we ordered, we felt it might be smart to take a look at the reviews before ordering; and yes... We almost strayed away (due to all the negative ratings). However we gave this pizza place a try and we have no regrets. Now. Here's the only frustrating part we wanted to order via phone and to our surprise they for some reason would not answer their phone. We tried multiple times from our hotel, hoping we wouldn't have to go down from our hotel and order - then wait... Well unfortunately we were forced to go down and order. Cheat is the perfect name for this place because they cheat you from the minute you sit down. Me and a few friends came to the mountain to have fun snowboarding. When we needed to break for lunch we decided to head to this restaurant. After waiting around 30 minutes to get our food (we all ordered subs) what came out of the kitchen was embarrassing. There was almost no meat on our already small cheesesteaks, the bread was ice cold, as well as one of our guests did not recieve his italian sub until another 15 minutes after us. It gets better. When it comes time to pay, we asked the waitress to split our checks. Instead of charging us individually for our food, she split the whole table’s order 4 ways. Meaning we all ended up paying 20$ for one cold sandwich. This is outrageous enough without being expected to tip on top of this large bill. Fast forward a day and my other friend noticed you charged his card twice, and instead of handling it over the phone, you guys insisted he come back 5 hours to snowshoe so “the other person can pay”.
