Let me start by saying this place is super difficult to find. Sometimes that can add to the charm! Not in this case. It further confirmed my suspicion that this was well below average Italian food. I don’t think I’ve ever written a google review in my life until now. But…I feel compelled to. The cost of this food for the quality is INSANE. I have been to plenty of underwhelming restaurants but this one takes the cake for the worst. It has the unfortunate combination of tiny servings, high prices, and HORRIBLE FOOD. Again, none of that would been that offensive or surprising (especially considering how expensive SnowShoe is in general)…if the food wasn’t so bad. The food is honestly so underwhelming I feel like you would do better just putting together what you have at home, or in this case our Airbnb. Not to mention at the price point of like 25 bucks an entree.
The waiter was super sweet and I could tell he was quite embarrassed with how the restaurant was/ the food. It wasn’t his fault. We chose this spot as a little bit of a nicer spot than the ale house to have a nice dinner…but the ale house’s food was so much better. Please do yourself a favor and go literally anywhere else in this area or make dinner at home. It also took forever and I’m not sure why considering nobody was...
Read moreTo begin, the service was fine. The hostess, as well as our waiter, was pleasant. As for everything else, it was terrible. The atmosphere is that of a semi-fancy Italian restaurant yet the food quality is that of a microwave TV dinner. The Chicken Parm was obviously frozen and the Alfredo sauce was revolting. Do not eat here. It is absurd that they only take reservations seeing as the place was half empty upon arrival and departure. As for the prices, they are a remarkable write up from the $4.99 frozen meal they are derived of. I understand everything in SnowShoe is going to be fairly expensive; however, the $100 we spent at the Sugar Shack or the Brewery was significantly more enjoyable than the $200 we spent at this abomination. Spend your...
Read moreFood had good flavor but was undercooked. The portions are fit for a toddler. You get what you order. No side salad or bread or anything you’d normally get at an Italian restaurant. Service was the worst I’ve ever seen. I received half a glass of water 10 minutes after I sat down and the waiter never even came back to ask if I wanted more or check on us. Definitely not worth the time we waited for food, the portion you receive, or the horrendous service received. Prices are outrageous for this kind of food and service. Negative stars if I could. Didn’t even leave a tip because the service was that poor and we are usually 20 - 25% tippers even if service isn’t...
