My boyfriend and I were traveling to Miami for the weekend to celebrate our 9th anniversary and we chose 6080 given we stayed here a few years back for my birthday and loved it. This time we upgraded to a larger room with a wrap around terrace. The check in process was pretty simple. When we got to our room we were happy to see how spacious it was. But I became disappointed when I entered the bathroom. It was small. There was ZERO counter space. When we went to shower, there was a piece of the grey rubber off the corner of the ground that separated the stand in shower from the rest of the bathroom floor, revealing tons of rust. My bf had to put it back in place. The water pressure was so low and the extended shower piece did not work and was rusted as well. They provided teeny tubes of shampoo, conditioner and shower gel but thankfully we had our own. They didn’t even prep our bathroom with enough towels (no floor towel?!) and we had to call for some. The floors dried out my feet so quickly and felt dirty so I had to wear slippers the entire time. When it was sunny enough to step out on the deck, we saw the furniture was stained and outdated. I wouldn’t sit on them even if they were dry. Kinda felt like a waste to have gotten this room. Then when we wanted to go out, we called the desk for valet to bring our car up front but they said we needed to go down and tell them ourselves (even though there’s a valet button on the phone) and we paid $40 a night. Often times valet wasn’t at their post so we had to wait some time to request our car and this would cause us to be a bit late to dinner reservations. Regarding the beach: they provide towels, chairs and an umbrella you have to sign out for. The chairs seemed to have gotten old. It was a little rusty, didn’t lean all the way back, and some were missing the Velcro pillows. I also didn’t fit entirely in them (I have wide hips). Our unit also came with a washer dryer in one so we bought detergent to wash and dry our clothes before checking out. The dryer kept turning off and we ended up having to use the only common dryer available in the basement to dry our clothes. And guess what? Someone had their clothes in the dryer and they were done but left in there so we needed to take them out and leave them on the counter ourselves since we didn’t know who’s they belonged to and it was late. What I did love about the unit was the fridge, the toaster oven and the closet space. The location is great because it’s a block away from the beach and it’s quiet; far from the ratchetness of South Beach and perfect for a peaceful sunbathing day or night. The Starbucks was cool too, although when you go to Miami, I’m sure you’d prefer authentic coffee. As much as we loved our first stay at 6080, this second stay around will have us looking elsewhere when we return to Miami. Note to the owners: please upgrade your toiletries, get new beach chairs, and redesign your rooms to actually make sense (ie: large room = large bathroom).

BED BUGS! I didn't want to have to leave this review, but after the way the hotel handled this....I think you all should know. We stayed there last week. As others noted, it was not cleaned very well. (see attached pictures) the bed and bathroom seemed to be mostly clean, so we let it slide. The room and location is awesome. So we ignored and enjoyed our stay. I woke up the next day with a few bites on one leg. All in clusters. As the day progressed, I noticed more and more. When I say there is not a body part without a bite......I mean it. I have been itching non stop. We tried reaching out to the hotel to notify them...3 times! The first time we got an answer from front desk. We notified them of the situation. They didn't ask our room number or anything. Just stated " well no other guests have complained" .....You mean until I just did? He was very dismissive and said if I "wanted to complain, I can call and talk to a manager". I called and left two messages the days following. Nothing. So needless to say, cleanliness or even following up on reported bed bugs, is not something this hotel takes seriously. They don't even know what room/floor. I did leave my name in the messages so they could check, but who knows if they bothered. So it's Russian roulette on what room you get in there....for all we know someone else reported it but they never followed up.its very frustrating and disappointing. Also, side notes: -40$ for parking (there is a free overnight lot that's a 4min walk away) -They make you sign something when you arrive stating you won't smoke on Balconies. We did not see that listed anywhere beforehand. So please note, they do not allow it anywhere on the property. They have you walk to the street. -resort fees -$200 deposit on top of room - tried to make coffee but the sugars/creamer provided were all old/clumpy and 2 of the 3 k cups were already punctured or used. -front desk staff can be abrasive -beautiful location -nice pool -valet is very polite, funny and fast -Starbucks in the lobby where you get a 10% discount for as a guest -provide Bluetooth speakers/in wall iPad for music.

Honestly if you are looking to book here, please don’t be turned away by the negative reviews! I just got back and I have nothing bad to say. The room I stayed in was spotless. It was large and spacious, the bed was super comfy! (Best sleep in a hotel room I’ve ever had). As for the thin walls, yes there’s some noise of the city outside or doors closing but it’s really nothing crazy/nothing I haven’t experienced at other hotels, and as a light sleeper I was fine. Though, I do want to say (and this in no way should reflect on the hotel) but the people that were above me, likely floor 5 (I was in room 404 and it sounded directly above me) on Saturday of memorial weekend around midnight - 2am, you really need to learn to be considerate of those around you. Screaming at each other, arguing, for over 2 hours over who knows what is extremely childish. I had a flight to catch early the next day and had to drive several hours home after that on no sleep because of your arguing. Every other night at the hotel was great. Anyways, all I can say about the hotel itself is, staff is attentive, the rooms are clean, the kitchenette was so useful! They have all the amenities you need, there’s also the beach in walking distance, as well as a Publix and a shop for alcohol nearby. I felt very safe walking around as a female solo traveller in the area. Thank you again for a great stay! I will recommend it to friends. :)

This is a nice hotel with a somewhat fair price. We had some previous damage to light fixtures and the fridge during our stay but not enough to effect the mood. The views are not great but the room itself has a nice modern feel and the beach access is about a 2 minute walk from the lobby. TVs were decent quality but no smart capability for netflix and such. Microwave, toaster oven, dishes, cups, and silverware were provided. There was a 2 in 1 washer/dryer unit in the room but it did not do a good job of drying, probably user error. Bedsheets were 8/10, slightly scratchy, but I'm very particular about bedsheets. Some of the extra charges included a $200 security deposit, $200 resort fee to use the complimentary beach chairs and umbrellas, and a $40/night valet parking fee. We received our security deposit back and they attributed the deposit to the parking which was convenient. A couple minor downsides are the pool /observation deck closes at 9pm. Understandable with no lifegaurd on duty but they have a great view of the downtown miami skyline and we were dissappointed we couldn't take advantage of that. The snacks/drinks in the vending machine are also on the expensive side. Overall a nice hotel in a walkable location that charges fairly for their services. Will definitely consider coming back to this hotel to vacation in miami beach again.

Excellent location. A very cozy room, although small, but everything is there

This is the cleanest hotel I have ever been to! The staff was extremely kind, patient and helpful! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The pool was always sparkling clean and we spent many hours lounging there.
