Can’t say enough about 1977 fly & grill. We popped into Miami Beach for the weekend and got in late! Looked for a restaurant within walking distance of our hotel and came across this one. Looked up the reviews on line and saw mostly 4.8 and decided to give it a try. When we first walked inside the place was empty but the atmosphere was 1980 retro Miami Vice! Tables were clean and the silverware and glasses spotless! The owners are from Argentina and take great pride of their food and service. My son, wife, and myself had the Milanese chicken while my daughter had the pesto Alfredo! Starting with the garlic knots and all the entrees came out piping hot. The food was prepared excellent and don’t forget to order a Coke which comes in a glass bottle from Mexico! Taste better than American coke according to my daughter! Service was great as Ricardo took care of our every needs! This would have been a 5 with the exception that the A/C was out so it was a bit warm in the restaurant but most likely wasn’t their fault as I think the whole building was out! So like a couple other reviewers that said”Can’t believe that this place isn’t known by everyone is a tragedy”. You will not be disappointed! Don’t be afraid if no one is in the place when you arrive because by the time we were done eating the place was almost completely full! As you see on my other reviews I am extremely critical and picky as to rating a place really high as they need to earn my respect first. I am not a friend of the owner or anything like that other than being an independent reviewer. So give this place a try and you will not be disappointed, we are coming back to try the...

Went here tonight based off of the reviews. Location was right off of the beach and only 8 minutes from our hotel.

The restaurant is inside of a hotel, so you might walk past it at first like we did. The staff was friendly, but there was a language barrier. We speak English and our server was Italian (very nice accent and handsome)!

Because of the language barrier our entree was brought out incorrectly. However, the staff was quick to correct the issue.

Now let's get down to the food! It was so good!!! We had the fried calamari which was seasoned perfectly. I only wish a sweet or different dipping sauce was offered. It's served with a spicy marinara type sauce. The mozzarella sticks were some of the best I've ever had!! Everything was hot and fresh.

Entree was the Old Fashioned Burger. I requested no onions and the special sauce plus pickles on the side. Pickles were bread and butter (I don't eat) and the "special sauce" was a sweet mayo based sauce I didn't care for. I had to request ketchup. The burger and fries were fresh and soooo good! The food really did not disappoint! I requested a to go box, but didn't end up needing it because we had nothing left lol.

I would definitely go back! Maybe if nothing else for the mozzarella sticks...

We dine in Fly & Grill restaurant as we were staying at the Sherry Frontenac Oceanfront hotel. The food is average with decent atmosphere. But the service we received was disgusting. The restaurant was half empty with three servers taking care of the diners. My wife ordered chicken marsala with side ceaser’s salad. Initially they served wrong food order for her (it is partly due to lack of attention of the server who didn’t bother to take note of our order). We waited for more than an hour thinking the food will come. But to our surprise they didn’t bother to give her any food and we eventually canceled her order. I requested them twice to serve at least the side salad while waiting for the entree but they didn’t even care. The server’s lack of empathy towards their guest was the worst thing we faced during our visit to this restaurant. I would have given them zero star for their service but the system don’t allow. I recommend think twice before visiting...

Wow! A Miami Beach local, Im always looking for that next spot for casual lunch or dinner. 1977 fly and grill did not disappoint! It's inside the Sherry Frontenac hotel and it is a new restaurant serving Milanesa (breaded chicken cutlets/shnitzel). They also serve steak and burgers (this place is not for vegetarians haha). They also have pasta on the menu. They have complimentary garlic knots which were so good. The owner Egor was so kind. They have a few beers but for now it is BYOB as well. La Milanesa estaba rico!!! The milanesa was crispy and the portion was huge. Great prices and easy ambiance.
